Friday Book Club

I really liked it, it is all based on true events but condensed into a 24 hour period in similar way Hotel Babylon was.

It does make you think about all what goes on behind the scenes of an airline - prob not a good one to read if you're a nervous flyer 8O

Lou, I still need to read Fashion Babylon, waiting for it to come out in paperback.

You can have my copy if I ever get to London!
Fashion Babylon was alright...it was a bit like..."oh, like I didnt already know that" kind of thing....no scandal or gossip...just a regular run of the mill fashion book.

Read anything else worth it lately?

OK I'll swap you a Fashion Babylon for a San Tropez Everyday  ;) It sounds like the kind of thing I'd want to read on holiday when you don't have many braincells to think

At the moment I am reading:

John McCarthy and Jill Morrell - Some Other Rainbow - Such a sad and harrowing account of him being held hostage from both parties point of view, even thought I knew quite a bit about the case cos I remember it from when I was growing up the lack of intervention by our Government was truly shocking.

(Hark at me in another political post  ;) )

And I'm also reading Ian Brown (of the Stone Roses  ) - Already in Me (With and Without the Stone Roses) - nothing that I didn't know about him but it was a Christmas present and nice lighthearted reading if you're a fan.

Tbh I've hardly read anything recently, I do most of my reading on the tube and I'm too busy skanking all the free papers and my girlie mags that I only tend to read a few pages a day at the mo.

I want to read Shopaholic and Baby!   But I cant justify buying that in hardback! Ill see if I can steal it from a holiday maker on the beach this summer!

I'm reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safron Foer. Most of it is from the point of view of a nine year old boy who's father died in 9/11. It's very funny and clever and moving.

I have all the Shopaholic books and I love them   Between you and me I can't wait to read Shopaholic and Baby - the Metro gave it 1* and said it was mindless drivel so sounds right up my street

Cheers for that ladies..... I am just starting to collect the Ibiza "light reading" selection for June.... Got 5 on order so far......8) 8) 8)

Not that you'll want these for easy Ibiza reading but currently I'm reading Grow Your Own Veg by Carol Klein (yes the annoying one on the tele) and A Year in the Garden by Alan Titchmarsh.

Rock 'n' Roll eh

Rock n Roll indeed Kang!!

I attempted growing my own veg last year - but the slugs destroyed most of it :spank: :spank: :spank:

However - my mini herb garden is growing very well indeed!! 8) 8) 8)

And my pear tree provided me with 6 pears for the first time last summer too!! I was well excited by that...

By the time I've finished my garden should be slug and squirrel proof - I'm trying absolutely everything ;)
