Yes Soundport will still be on but you're going to miss both dates (Saturday 9 & Saturday 23).

The only thing I knew for the weekend was Soundport @ Cala Comte. It was nice but as a place to chill out not party.

Altho all the kids went crazy went Alfredo dropped Talking Heads' 'Burning Down the House'.

From an interview with free party promoters Ryan O'Gorman and Joe Upton:

Ryan: Everything's been restricted massively in San An this year because the stranglehold the council have put on all the clubs. Everything's been shutting at 6 o'clock. We got busted a couple of times at Kanya. Officially there's no afterparties but there's always ways round these things. There will be some very big parties happening very soon.

Joe: We're working on a very really hardcore outdoor events but we're just lining those up. The free parties are going to happen. The past few years we've done opening parties and closing parties and nothing in between. This year we're going to do everything in between and no openings and closings.

Guilt will be doing a number of parties throughout the first week of September - all will be free except the parties with Pukka Up on the Friday (email for details of tickets for that...)

Spotlight 3 Sentence review

Nude's first of the promised series of beach parties was extraordinarily pleasant in so many ways - the sound on the Funktion 1 system was immaculate, the setting beautiful, the portaloos brand new and apart the extremely hairy guy below the attendees sleek and gorgeous.

It perhaps could have done with a hundred more people to really kick off but Nude last Saturday was one of the most perfectly formed parties of 2006. Thanks for putting on the taxis!
