there is that multi-quote option on each message and i just got a little reminder saying "Your PM box is 90% full".

When I quote people there's a number after the person's name so yours says Grego; 1050043
And there's a blue arrow after names

look i've just multi-quoted our conversation by clicking on that button next to quote. that number after our name changes with every post, i was thinking it was some kind of user number for tracking purposes.........

'They' said that we're on a high level ISP alert and we must be extra vigilant at all times 'They' said we need to particularly keep our wits about us @ WLS Closing wkend as there is going to be a very real threat there then
we upgraded the forum software on friday evening, and in line with new US privacy laws, the makers of this software (vbulletin) have allegedly been forced to employ a patented tracking system, which makes it easier to assign posts to members and of course to their IPs.
in a real-life situation, i suspect the powers that be could track back each post to a house number, or at least a district.
