I've heard about a great night going off at The Adelphi (one of the old homes of Gatecrasher)

They're putting on some outdoor marquee's as well as the main club for the different styles of music.

That's all i know for now but if anyone wants to know more PM me and i'll find some more info.

It is nearly upon us and sadly, with a severe drought of quality line ups across clubland this New Years Eve, the word in the alleyways is that Ahead NYE will be an early sell out….

We have Hybrid making a welcome return to the centre stage once again, those Welsh Wizards enjoyed themselves so much last time they jumped at the chance to bring their bags of tunes up and party with us all for a second time.

Speaking of jumping, Ahead's resident DJ Ben Lost will be giving us a worldwide exclusive with a live performance of Jump The Next Train live on stage with The Young Parisians. Be the first to see and hear this massive Ahead Anthem.

Matthew Dekay is also making a welcome return to the Ahead Stage this night. After playing such an amazing set last July and stealing the show from under the Stanton Warriors noses, Matthew Dekays set has been a talking point ever since. Expect him to blow you away now that he knows the crowd, knows the venue and knows the gigantic sound system will be back in place to support his solid and crowd pleasing performance.

The Music Is Coming Home: Its been a long time since Sheffield has seen this truly legendary DJ partnership back together at the same turntables. Scott Bond and Matt Hardwick will be delivering a back to back set and delivering the goods like only they know how.

Stepping up to the decks to deliver another quality set, Solarstone, renowned for their dreamy blend of melodic trance and exclusive new productions, will once deliver some truly hands in the air moments.

And finally, Ben Lost, the resident that can party harder than anyone else we know in clubland, will be once again blowing us away with his own very distinctive sounds.

Last but not least VJ Steve G will be working him magic on the DVJ's and laptops all night !

See you on the dance floor.

ORRRR ... the one I'd be going to if I were going out ..

UG NYE is gonna be an absolute monster party! Not only have we invited two of the most party rockin’ DJ partnerships ever to touch deck (sounds rude!) at UG, but also there’s going to be midnight, and balloons, and glitter cannons, and competitions, and a ferris wheel, and a spaceship with aliens and everything*(some of this may not be true).

Evil Nine have been consistently brilliant from their UG debut through to fully blown Ug super-ressies. Their album, 'You can be special too' is an exceptional debut that has received critical acclaim from anyone who's anyone and, what's more, they really know how to party.

FC Kahuna are the dogs testi-clays. They really came into their own with 2002’s Machine Says Yes, perhaps one of the definitive dance music albums of the 21st Century so far, and one that by now you should really know and love. Their last visit to UG left many drooling for more, so we only went and got them for new year's eve!

Expect a humoungous NYE party featuring your favourite UG DJs, your favourite UG atmosphere, and some special surprises, and all for the most bargainous NYE price to be found in Sheffield this year, a measly £12. Can you say fairer than that. No you can’t.

See you at midnight with tinsel in my hair and a twinkle in my eye.

Tickets are flying out of Coolwax, Jack's, The Store, Forever Changes and Lowlife records as we speak!! You can also purchase them online at www.ticketweb.co.uk
