Food Intolerance - Celiac

There are 9 of us (late 30s early 40s) heading over in June and one of the group has quite a severe gluten intolerance.

Even if for example some bread has been toasted on the same grill as say chicken, its likely he will have some sort of reaction.

I know most restaurants will have intolerances listed on the menu, however are there any places better/worse for helping with this that people are aware of from personal experience?

We'll be staying in San An Bay however willing to travel.

Many thanks

always an issue for us too as my partner is gluten and lactose intolerant. She likes Project Social (SE) for their breakfast and light lunch options - but you might want to check if it's big enough for a large group

This may not at all be what you are looking for, but in Santa Gertrudis there is Wildbeets, a 100% gluten free vegan café that serves breakfast/brunch and lunch. (We love their portobello tacos. 😊)
