Flower Power - added 90’s...?

Would like to go to Pacha to check out new layout & sound, but the only night I have is a Monday. Now I love stuff like Led Zeplin, Stones, Deep Purple, Jimmy Hendrix etc, but stuff like ABBA/Beach Boys/Bee Gees is just not my thing. My friend, who’s quite a bit older than me, would probably enjoy the latter. And now with the addition of 90’s house...never quite got into it (too slow - went to clockwork last year and just couldn’t get going).

Is it worth the risk (friend doesn’t have lots of cash to splash so trying to work out our best options)? Looks like people have a great time, but I’ve always imagined it to be a bit like a “wedding disco”. I could be totally wrong of course!

I had an amazing time at Flower Power last Monday, and there was a great mix of everything you said above. The 90's tunes were more spice girls, backstreet boys etc and some 90's dance. Definitely not a wedding disco in my opinion x

Ooh no....couldn’t stand that pop radio stuff. I was into grunge/heavy metal/beastie boys/house of pain/cypress hill/nirvana/rage against the machine etc (not that I am expecting that! :p) ...thanks for letting me know! Helps me make up my mind! Glad you loved it though! x

Good god, I was thinking more Ultra Nate, Bucketheads, Nightcrawlers etc, house but the more commercial side, stuff you would find on Ministry Ibiza Annuals... but that sounds aweful lol

I wasn’t exposed to house in South Africa, no idea who the above are, (but presume that’s proper 90’s house). However, I was converted once I went to the Fridge in Brixton. Underground Hard house changed my musical world.

even free, i guess i won't get back..OK, 1 time by curiosity.. i need some dance music in a club & not Rock music in a club, especially in ibiza.
All 70's Rock anthem are nice , my kind but not in a club...sounds little cheezy to listen to some overrotated hits from John Lennon,Hendrix, Janis joplin, Beach boys, Mama & Papa's tina turner, soul from amy Winehouse, in Pacha...
if now, they play eurodance cheese from 90's , even any disco bar in westen is the answer :D

I remember one year We Love at Space had rock music in the sunset terrace, it was aweful, they had a fake band setup, and people pretending to play guitars... really weird

some classic rock sounds amazing at a party - everything from The Beatles, Wings, Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Clash right through to the more recent Rub n Tug edits. For me it ultimately depends how funky/trippy it is...

I wouldn't want to hear indie in Spain though. Ever.

Whilst anyone who plays the spice girls (ironically or not) deserves to be torched with petrol

Personally, at something like FP, I would mostly want to hear a load of Spanish or Euro disco - not tired British hits

I wouldn’t dig that o_O saw Kaiser Chiefs in Ibz years ago & that was different. Never really into them but mates were.

I assumed flower power would be psychadelic hippy shit from the summer of love & hendrix etc. When they played loads of 50s Elvis i had to leave. Bloody awful. Would have prefered backdoor boys but wtf they have to do with Flower Power i don’t know. Pure student night piss up music.

never say NEVER, if in ibz i may have a visit...
Erick playing 90-s dance music? why not
