Hi, my name is scott and i have just joined this forum. I am going to Ibiza for the first time at the end of May with my girlfriend and 5 other friends, We are staying in Es Cana which is supposed to be beautiful. I have a few questions that i hope you guys can help me with:

  1. Can you buy silk cut silver cigarrettes and if yes then how much(has to be the silver ones)?
  2. Can you buy Jack Daniels from the off liscence and if so how much?
  3. Do the pubs and clubs serve stella and how much?
  4. Where can i buy tickets for david guetta FMIF opening party on the 26th may
Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I will have to be vague, because I don't really look out for any of the things you ask about, but in an attempt to help..

1. Almost certainly,at the Tabacos shop, 4+euro per 20.
2. Yes, 15 to 18 euro.
3. I've never seen it,nor do I want to.Do yourself a favour drink spanish lager it's fine.
4. Loads of people want to know this,no idea, sorry!

well i take a few euro;s left over from last hols to see me through first few days.then i use a card from nationwide.ok its 2% charge on withdraws limit 300 aday.but a dame site safer than taking cash.
i also take a visa card with 8k with me as a back up .just in case i might need it.(taking ill etc).but you must get a safe in hotel.mines free not sure how much they are now for a week or two.

everyone as there own way of taking money over and thats mine.

your fags are around 42 euro for 200

If you like stella, drink San Migeul. A good, if not better, lager.
You won't find much in the way of English lager over there.

I'd say San Miguel, but I'm biased, as I only started drinking lager two years ago, and that was in Ibiza. Didn't like it before that. (Always been a man of Spirits)

you can get stella artois 4% triple filtered belgian recipe lager witch is far better than the normal stella in father jacks bar in figueretes, they had it there in febuary when i was there...Estrella dam is a good beer on the island and its sold in most bars..

Each to their own and all that, but it always surprises me when people travel to another country and want to consume exactly the same things they have at home. Sausages, beer or whatever...

agreed Don Simon.

This is why I'd love to try some of the local restaurants and drinks.

Now... for an embarrassing question. Ive seen alot of you talking about 'Hierbas'. What is this? and can you just ask for it in a bar and they'll know what you're talking about?

jimmy does do a good pint of Estrella da.my fav any way.its clear and crispy. San Miguel is the most popular on the island.but for me its a bit thick and heavy.mine you does not take many to get drunk on.very strong on draught

cause it will. but check what they charge for drawing money out in europe.and the limit you can take out per day.i would pop in and let them phone up for you.cheaper.or go on net.

Estrella Dam is probably the closest you'll get to Stella, flavor wise.

It's a little bit sweeter than San Miguel. I actually prefer it, although I do love me some San Miguel too.

As an aside, Cruzcampo does a lovely shandy in a can, available at many of your Spar supermarkets and mini-marts. I keep some stocked in my hotel fridge. Makes a great first beer of the day (when your first beer is when you wake up )

Yes the shandy first thing in the morning is a must for our apt too.
