first dead of season 2007 :-( rip

Chewie - perhaps the lad simply miscalculated, which is quite easily done.

Surprised at how quick you are to jump on this topic in such a fashion.

sorry for expressing an opinion:roll:

Or expressing triumph at someone else's accidentally self-inflicted demise?

A fella I knew could of killed himself and a mate when he drove home f**cked from one of my club nights. Do you think I would have mourned or cheered?

I'm sure we all see Chewie's point - we make choices and we have to accept the consequences. It's a valid point, even if not the most pleasant thing to fac3 up to when someone just died.

But jeez, Chew, the kid is dead. Have a bit of compassion!

im not expressing triumph at all! - if he miscalulated how can that be classed as an accident???

i'd hope you'd have the chance to slap him and tell him not to be so stupid in future. (which he hasnt)

I agree with Chewie.

The kid knew the risks and decided to ignore them
Whether or not people do this once or a thousand times makes little difference.

Its a shame, but thats the way it is. People are all too keen to drop all manner of drugs at the moment, and 99% of them seem oblivious to the fact that what they are doing seriously increases the danger upon them. Mixing anything with alcohol is phucking madness, but id say on any saturday night in a club in London 75% of the people do exactly that.

Ketamine is particulalry dodgy and the way people do it at the mo with no apparent worries is a serious problem.

I'm sure chew didnt mean to be quite as controversial but one can only assume that it is simply a reminder of the risks delivered in the manner of 'what do you expect?'. Whilst I agree that the majority of people realise there are risks they dont always take notice.

Misfortune comes hand in hand with sympathy whether its deserved or not. As a particular song lyric explains 'a b4stard in life is still a b4stard in death'. Thats not to say I condemn the poor chap because we've all made mistakes but I can understand why Chewie chooses not to show compassion purely on the grounds of a fatality. No doubt that if we were discussing the kids family then he would express his sympathy.

Which is it? Fully aware or oblivious?

The answer is you don't know the facts so you can't really say.

Mixing anything with alcohol is madness? is it? It seems the norm in my experience and i haven't seen clubs littered with corpses yet.

Get off your soapboxes. The airs thin up there.

......AND NEXT WEEK ON THE CHEWIE KYLE SHOW..............

Single Mothers - should they be allowed to spend their benefits on tabs....

Would you expect compassion for the fellas in the car in my example above if they'd died? You know who the passenger was?
