Final trip 2015

After 3 great visits to ibiza in 2011, 2012 & 2014.... I decided that summer 2015 will be the final trip to the island.

Although I am 28, I really feel getting old for the place... is that normal???

Last year we met some great spotlighters @Jay_99 @helloworld @trippymane and looking forward to have some new friends this summer.

Tentative date is 1 week either the last week in july or the first week of august. Final bookings will be done in 1 month probably staying in marco polo 1 san ant.

Would like to know whose up to what :)

interesting. while I can understand that people stop coming to ibiza because they want to see other places or they fall out of love with the island/the vibe (it does happen), I'd never have thought that in the case of ibiza, you could feel too old for it. when I go clubbing elsewhere I sometimes do feel old (because the average age is very low), but here in ibiza? never.

where did you use to stay? what makes you feel you're getting old? sorry for asking - this is really making me curious.

Im sure you would probably feel old going in high season. I went in august 2013 and couldn't believe the kids on the plane with us, must have been about 16! I went in Sept last year though and found we were about the average age there, we stayed in PDB too. (I'm 26 btw)

@stivi i will never stop loving ibiza.... for the past 3 years I tried to visit other places but every time I end up in ibiza ☺☺ and I really enjoy it... but now I feel I am not up to the speed of the island... I cant attend two parties in one day any more... I cant spend the whole night by the beach till the morning, etc... thats why I started feeling old. Btw despite I am try to, I think will never stop going to ibiza.

As for your question, 2011 I stayed in pdb whule 2012 & 2014 stayed in san ant. 2015 I am planning san ant as well..

Any recommendations?

@mayron gaines looool last year while I was in pukka boat I heard a conversation between a guy and 2 girls... the guy was saying that his 23, the girls replied "oh your too old"... I was shocked and thought of jumping in the sea ☺☺

Last year I went in the peak as I arrived 1st of august and it was really hectic... this year I dont have fixed dates yet but it should be in july

but who says you have to attend two parties in one day? who says you have to have a full programme for the entire duration of your stay? no one. that's what happens when you get older. what I see a lot is that, as people get older, they first start to stay away from PDB or san an (centre). instead they hire a nice apartment or villa somewhere nice and quiet. they hire a car, see the island, go for nice meals. do a few nights out and have some quiet nights too. and go home relaxed after a beautiful holiday :)

you're never too old for ibiza!

That's interesting. First two years we went at 18 and 19 were constantly getting told we were "too young" (and not just in THAT way) by girls.

Must be quite a niche age range for some!

Exactly what we have done. 10 years ago I was happy to stay in PDB but not a chance now! When we are out in May we will do a couple of nights out but the rest of the time go out for dinner and find a bar afterwards. because you don't spend all your time recovering you get more time to explore, hire a car and get off the beaten track and see how lovely the rest of the island is. I felt years ago that I needed a full diary when I was out there but not now, quite nice to have a bit of "me" time. another idea is to have a 2 venue holiday, stay in PDB/SA for the first 4 nights and then a finca in the hills with a pool for 3 nights, bit of madness and chillin all in one!

Also, being in our late 30's we go for opening and closing and your find we are definitely not the oldest, people seem to go those times for the music mostly and that appeals to every age.

@stivi @Honnor maybe its all about mindset towards ibiza belieing its a clubbing destination only. I never tried to look at ibiza as a chilling and relaxing destination. .. maybe its all about me that i cant believe that i am not young anymore :( anyway i ll have a blast in 2015 and will see regarding the chilling prespective next year

ummmmmm you know that only 25% of all ibiza visitors ever visit the clubs?

my suggestion is that you should definitely rent a car, at least for one day and go exploring. this might change your mindset ;)

And if you can stretch to it, a boat for a 1/2 day or day! and to some of us you are young!! ;-)

I'm 34 by the way. and I still feel young.

Same age as me! And, I am not fighting growing old, but I can party 10X more than when I was young. Not sure if just me, but I require so much less sleep than I did 10 years ago. When I was 21 I'd go out all night, sleep 8AM-Midday, then have to do another 6PM-9PM sleep etc. Now, I can easily survive on 5/6 hours only.

The thing I love about Ibiza is that I think it is the only place where age really is irrelevant. In fact, I think you look cooler the older you get in Ibiza, as you get the respect that you must know your stuff / music etc. This is especially the case with the more underground nights that I go to. I'd imagine if you went to an Ushuaia EDM night then the average age is probably 21. I live in London, there are times in Fabric where I really am the oldest on the dancefloor it seems, and I love Ibiza as anything goes. The only time the past few years when I felt old in Ibiza was last September in Insane at Pacha. Sneak had just finished a great set and then MK came on and I had 18 year old girls all around me! Such a waste being gay, but it did feel like a nappy night!

Same as. Can definitely last the pace better approaching my 30s than I ever could in my late teens/early 20s. I even get up and about during the day enjoying the sun and getting a tan - even on minimal sleep. Never the case 5 years ago!

I'm 33 & sometimes feel old if i go up the west end,but def not in the clubs. I think a big clubbing holiday in Ibiza is maybe too expensive for 18-19 year olds as their 1st holiday, but i think thats a good thing, see people well in the 40's even 50's in the clubs. thats the magic of Ibiza
