The Trainspotting soundtrack recently turned 30. Some tunes will have aged better than others. For those interested, somebody has written the story behind Born Slippy (was never mad keen on it but most would disagree)

Trainspotting was a brilliant film and darkly funny and still stands up imo. Beyond that I don't remember any hype quite like the hype around '96. the music, the football, the self-congratulation. It was the last hurrah before the internet changed the game. And here we are..

Dead Man's Shoes has an amazing soundtrack. I heard the soundtrack before I watched the film, and I was actually a bit disappointed by the film on first viewing. (Now it's one of my favourites.)
