Ben I'd book the flights now, Tom had the same dilemma last year and the flights were so cheap at this time, but when he actually had confirmation that him and his brother could have tickets they couldn't get a flights for love nor money to Barcelona for those dates.

Even if you don't end up going you can change flights with Eastjet for a fiver online so if it all fell thru you could swap it for a flight elsewhere later in the year ;)

IsTom coming over for it this year ??

I doubt he'll get time off so soon after cos we're going over to Barcelona for 5 days at end of January for my birthday (but as a treat I'm 'allowing' him to go to the Nou Camp on the Sunday night to watch a game  )

Well we'll cross that bridge when we come to it and if it is on a Saturday Tom will just have to deal with it (cos there's no way I'm spending my 30th birthday in the Nou Camp   )

my birthday dinner last week consisted of a pasty and a tango from the scabby seller at White Hart Lane (Spurs ground) because the train was cancelled so we didn't get to the pub beforehand

My other half is a Spurs fan so I accompany him to quite a few of the games. I'm actually a Liverpool fan, but for very boring and complicated reasons I have a bit of a soft spot for Portsmouth and have seen them play many, many times, so I was supporting them that evening......Unfortunately they got battered

I mean I'm a good g/friend (most of the time  ) and me and Tom watch football games galore and I'm never one of these girlies that moan about football.............but I am putting my foot down about spending my 30th birthday in the Nou Camp eating a burger:evil:

I can testify to this. During the European championship, whilst we were in Ibiza, Barbie didn't want to watch the football, but instead of moaning to Tom she very kindly let him get on with watching the match and went and sat in the middle of the road instead 8O

   my wife is always going on about being a good wife in that she allows me to watch football (although she did draw the line at monday night italian 2nd division) but even she has cracked now............and the thought of sky sports news on 24hour feed whilst i'm off over xmas is threatening our marriage:lol:  .

camp nou and a greasy burger for your 30th is too much though, i agree. put your foot firmly down!!!

 8O

Ibiza doesn't count for watching football cos I haven't got much attention span in Ibiza to last the 90 mins  ;)
