Female going solo in Ibiza 2014, anyone want to join?

You'll be fine. I've met quite a few from here over the last couple of summers and they've all been cool. Travelling Eastern Europe will be amazing too, there are some beautiful places there.

As for accom, I agree that the Mare Nostrum is a decent shout, lively and pretty close to the action. In June this year I stayed at Posiedon III apartments which is a 5 min walk from Mare Nostrum. It was basic but a good sized apartment and only €25 a night, perfect for me on my own as it was last minute decision to go and I was after something cheap.

I've been saying that I was going to give Ibiza a miss in 2014 after going twice this year, but that feeling is evaporating as the new year gets closer!

The Mare Nostrum isn't too family orientated, is it? I've been looking at that and Hotel La Noria which is similar in pricing and location and can't decide which one is better yet. So many choices haha.

Lol, you can never go to Ibiza too many times :P
 
No, the Mare Nostrum is the opposite of family orientated. The majority will be there to party. Rooms are quite small but the pool is big, bar always busy, the staff seem fine from what I've seen. My brother and his friend stayed there when we were over in September, had no complaints. I haven't been to La Noria so can't comment on that.

I agree with you there. If (when) I give in and book Ibiza '14 it'll be my 7th trip in 7 years. I don't think there's anywhere else in the world I'd make the effort to visit that frequently!

I just took a look at San Antonio and found the accommodation to be much much cheaper (Hotel Marco Polo, Piscus Park or Hostal Torres) so I may just end up booking something there so I can go out more and still be under budget for the rest of my traveling haha.

That's awesome. I'm glad to hear about how good Ibiza is, can't wait to see for myself! :)

No worries, I learnt a lot from this forum when I came across it, happy to help!

Marco Polo is ok. Basic but good value for somewhere to get your head down and shower etc. We stayed in Marco Polo II the first 3 times I went and never had a problem there. It's the building next door, a bit cheaper than the main building.

Avoid Pisces Park like the plague. You can probably actually catch the plague there, or worse.

I don't know about Hostal Torres.

I don't consider San An these days because I'd spend so much time and money getting back to d'en Bossa. Everyone's different but I think Bossa is the place to be. Better beach, good beach bars and places to eat, in close reach of DC10, Space, Sankeys, Ushuaia, Booom! and Pacha, slightly older and more clued up crowd, Ibiza town isn't far, boats to Formentera are right there. And with it being on the south of the island, it's a sun trap too. Don't let me sway you though, just my opinion!
 
The Ibiza Spotlight is a good place to meet people who are also going to Ibiza, either solo or with others. Everyone I've met from here have been great, and most of them I now consider good friends.
I'll be there from May 1st, so give me a shout when you're over :)
 
Hi! My friends and me are going out for a quick weekend at the end of June (27/06/14 - 30/06/14) more than happy to meet up and party! :D
 
The wife and I are going for our first time. We are probably going from June 26 or 27 till July 2 or 3. We are hammering out the details pretty soon here. We won't know anyone there. Obviously, we are going to want to do some stuff on our own, but we think it would be awesome to meet some fun people down there to party with. Doubtful we'd be willing to share a room with someone we don't know though. Not sure if it makes a difference, but we are both 29 and from the US. She is half French and speaks the language (this is why we are going... Going to France first to meet that half of her family and go to a wedding).
 
As far as i am concerned IBZ is a little far as i don't know for now if i can take holidays...i need my ibz holidays..too much real ibz djs to meet....Rent a car..anyone got his IBZ Schedule but there is spots not to miss :Blue Marlin, Cala beniras on sunday,boat party,ibiza sensation pool party at ocean beach with my friend luis del villar, kumharas ,sa trinxa bar & jockey club at salinas beach............u can join my FB if you want, you and any party people? (just pm & i ll give it to you..)..Nearly all ibz djs are on my fb ,even the drummers of Benirras; so it helps to be aware off all things to do in the white island & guestlist too...& in spotlight i met many people ...& with some (uk, Morocco,Bahrain,France) we plan to be back to the white island ...but pay attention, with all meetup, i only met 20% of the people..it's hard to be connected when in ibz unless u buy a spanish simcard(be sure your phone is unlock)..so stretch your contacts here & try to find 1-2 trustful buddy party people that will follow you anytime (i've found 3 last summer even i met 20 spotlights...& they are the best soulmate you can find ...trustful people..nice guys, sharing all stuff...we became best friends & hard to party in ibz without my best mate :) even i met some spotlight girls mate...i had more fun with guys :p) ...wot kind of music you are into?

if i come back to the white island? A blast & more with mates from summer 13 .too much things to do...i get in touch through FB connections to nearly all real ibz djs & djs that mix in ibz too (Pacha hotel, Joan ribas, Selva basaran ect..) & dying to see them, takin a picture & so on .....yes , thanks to connection to local people on fb i stretch my network (always done in paris, i know all place to party in 6 month partyin & FB adding..)..even the drummers of Benirras are on my Fb even some strippers from San antonio too (the SIN),the bald saxo player from France & so on... FB is all about connection..some here did not get it..well they will mis stuff & not enjoy IBIZA 100% aHA!!!up to you ...

too much work...& change, so Ibz will be a little compromised.but ..some mate from 2003 ibz summer gave a shout,don't remind the pseudo as its a nightmare between spotlights pseudo, fb pseudo & real name..yes mind is shitty in ibz :D...some go on july, some on august..sure i will go alone but now with many mates from spotlights 13 & many from FB..looks like i won't be alone :cool:..these ibz 14 will be insane as i know the parties/djs clubs i will go eg..i've seen superstars djs in France at Rex club for 25th...music suckx , 15€ price was cool in paris but 30 to 60€ f***K that Shitt, i m not a purse tourist :cool: ..wont give names as i will make 80% of ennemies otherwise :eek:...
2 days will be short ...you can add me to ur fb if u want..i can give you tips/suggestions on line the day , you are in the white island
To be back to topic julie93 i advice you to make connections with 20 or more people & select those that u may get close.. i remember spending a lot of time with some & did not see them, by my fault or them...some people more or less trustful...

Hey Julie and Amy, and everyone else! I am also travelling solo, all the way from Canada, and will be there during the end of June, arriving June 24th! I would love to meet up with some people for partying! I am staying at a hotel in Playa!

I will only be there for 3-4 nights! I am visiting my family in Paris for the most of June, this was just a little addition to the end of my trip before going home! I'm hoping that the 3-4 days there are just lost of trips to the beach and lots of partying haha!
