just wondering what your favourite clubs in the uk,

iv only ever been to air (gods kitchen)
emporium (passon)
escape in swansea
and the bristol clubs (where i live)

nothing has ever come close to gods kitchen yet.

The Cross. Love the place, always have a great time when I'm there and the outdoor terrace is wicked in the summer!

The End has an amazing sound system, big fan of that place too.

Going to ministry for the first time tonight, so we'll see if that's as good as the above two.

Nation (cream/Bugged out pre 01)
emporium (passon)
Media (Renisconce s/p??)
Lemmon Lounage (Alderaan)

There my fav clubs in the uk.

I haven't been to many at all .. but The Bomb in Nottingham has a special place in my heart!

In London I've only been to Turnmills and The End - I like the layout in Turnmills but the sound system seems weak compared to other clubs?
The End I visited for Underwater and really enjoyed the night, great tunes and awesome sound system plus good bunch of people :D

In Birmingham I have also been to Godskitchen at Air - went on the night they had Carl Cox playing which was exellent but I was mystified why the club closed at 4am  I know they are moving GK to Sat night but according to the website it is stioll an early finish :(

In Bristol (my home town too :D ) there is no longer any club worth mentioning as all the good ones that played house, etc have shut or been shut down. I have fond memories of Cafe Blue and also had some good nights at the depot and Lakota although they are pretty grimey places :(

PM me if you know of any good Bristol nights coming up

London, London and er..London.

Not yet been to Pacha London.

Love the club Turnmills, but not so much the people.

Love the people at The End but not so much the club.

Fave club\night Miss Moneypennys in Birmingham

I've got to say there are some killer nights in Bristol- 666, Ripsnorter, And others. The Black Swan on the Stapleton Road can be a good venue depending on what the promoters make of it- the Trinity centre was pretty cool on NYE but you wouldn't want anymore than about 550 people in there, The Lakota can have some good nights on- if you can put up with the sh*tty attitudes of the security and bar staff. Try and get hold of a copy of Out of Hand (should be able to get one from Bristol Ticket Shop in the Arcade), which has flyers and listings for most promoters and venues around Bristol. You could, of course, try a little further afield and try Toadstool in Gloucester :D

Paddy - some fair observations but...............
Not been to 666 but agree that Ripsnorter is a good night.
Not been to Black swan either.
Trinity rooms whilst an OK venue was, on my last visit (4wks ago) full of crusty's who were all off their faces on god knows what but it didn't make them dance! I am not against this but when you have a place so full of people so out of it that even standing up is an effort it doesn't exactly add to the energy and atmosphere in the room.
Likewise lakota who used to host some good nights like Ripsnorter and slinky seem to have gone way donwn hill as (according to the websites of said nights) they no longer pay their bills and therefore are not fit to be hosts

Maybe what it comes down to is that I have been spoilt - the amazing experiences of Amnesia and Space in Ibiza and then clubs visited in London are just leagues ahead of anything Bristol has to offer. I don't see why the clubs like Cafe Blue/Old firestation closed down unless it is really true that dance music is dead in Bristol and in its place everyone wants to go to funking Hip hop, R & B, Dub step and break nights

Turnmills
63b Clerkenwell Road EC1M 5NP
tel: 020 7250 3409
travel: BR/Tube: Farringdon
Also very near Fabic ( a club I intend to visit in '05)

The End
16a West Central Street WC1A 1JJ
tel: 020 7419 9199
travel: Tube: Tottenham Court Road/Holborn

HTH :D

Ministry of Sound - London
Tunrmills - London
Air - Birmingham
Sankey Soaps - Manchester

I used to hate the empire in Middlesborough until I went recently to see Roger S and I had a much better experience than the last time I Went ... so thats another club I would recommend.

Yeah on a good night (which was most weeks) it was unbeatable!

The new(ish) Hustle nights @ .zero are similar crowd & music.

As far as best club in the uk, dunno without visiting all of them. My personal favourite is still the Arches in Sheffield even though you rarely see house nights there now.
