Fate

Yes. I used to have this saying that "God pays his debts without money". Not that I believe in a god so much nowadays but I do think what goes around comes around. So, yes, I'm a firm believer in fate ;)

Is that not more Karma than Fate?

Hooray!!!!! everyone else I have asked says they do!!!

I believe you made this thread for a reason though. Later this week something will happen that has something to do with fate and you'll think of this thread, and how you don't believe in fate.

That's fate's way of telling you something.

I tend to think of it all as the same sort of thing but I know what you mean. Like when Ben never got to stay permanently in Hong Kong, I said it's fate because then he would never have met and married me

Actually that may just be called back luck for him

I think I do believe in it. I do believe that your outcome is more or less decided and no matter what you do or do not do nothing is going to change that.

Even when things seem hard and unfair in life, I believe that they have happened for a reason, maybe to make you the person you are today, even if at the time it feels like the most difficult thing to understand.

Although sometimes it's hard to believe when something bad happens to you, or you read about something tragic in the newspaper, it's hard to think "oh well it's fate, it was meant to be".

If I did understand what's fate I don't belive in it, It's not wrotten anywhere and its you who writes it everyday in every decision

But what decides this outcome? Some higher force? God?

i don't believe in fate. not one bit.

everything in my life has happened because more than anything i decided to do something.

when bad things have happened to me, the old "everything happens for a reason" bollox has been rubbish. of the bad things that have happened to me, i can think of no reason why they should have happened or any good consequence that has come from them.

like the quote in terminator............" there is no fate, only what we make for ourselves". (hollywood puke i know, but still true for me)

:D

SOMETIMES we are lucky / unlucky/can't help the situation.. but i beleive most things that happen to us are a result of good / bad choices...

fate shmate...
