Radioactive traces on BA planes

You live in Moscow right and i recall reading on here you were in London recently, did you travel with British Airways?8O

After what happened to this poor man Alexander Litvinenko who i firmly believe (despite the denials)his horrible death was carried out on behalf of the Kremlin, the Russians have always been a nasty corrupt lot from the communist Soviet Union to today and they will stop at nothing to silence any of their critics, sickening.

BTW im not suggesting normal Russian people are all like that but this Russian Goverment (not to mention the highly corrupt police) are the lowest of the low.

BTW off topic how do you stick living with the sub zero tempatures you get in Moscow?I couldn't handle that extreme cold and snow8O

Without defending the Russian government, don't think for a second that our governments (US and UK) are in any way below doing the same things. They're just a bit less clumsy about it. The Cold War mentality very much still exists on both sides.

I usually fly Aeroflot. More convenient flight times, and Sheremetovo airport is closer for me than Domodedovo (from which BA flies). Think the difference between Heathrow and Gatwick if you're travelling from West London.

It's not so much the cold that drives you crazy as the length of the winter. 5-6 months of gray weather gets to you after a while... the cold you get used to eventually.

We've been lucky this past couple of weeks though... it's stayed mostly above freezing, though a lot of rain has made the city quite dirty (perhaps sounds illogical, but it's true...)

Yeah, you said that right girlfriend! We have Jason Bourne, and they have Kirill.

No problem when i heard about this story funnily enough i thought of you8O:lol:

5-6 months of "gray" weather jaysus mate that would do my head in you'd want to be earning a fortune to make you stay in Moscow?

BTW the UK Goverment isn't my Goverment but whilst on the subject of Goverments the Irish one are every bit as bad as their counterparts in the UK,etc.

No worries.

Don't make a fortune, unfortunately, but enough to live on (and party with ). It's an inexpicably expensive place to live, but I can definitely say it's been entertaining.

It's one thing to travel, but to live in a foreign country is a great experience.

What? Ireland's not part of the UK? (ooh... them there is fightin' words, aren't they!?)
Seriously, though, apologies for the error! ;) Must make it over to Dublin at some point... always wanted to visit.

I always assumed Moscow was dirt cheap, it's gotta be cheaper than London or here?

I have previously lived in a foreign country before.... England  yeah most who come to Dublin do like it after they get over the initial shock of the prices (and the amount of Polish and Chinese people here 8O)although it's not as bad as the Scandanavian countries esp Norway which is criminally expensive, if your ever decide to visit ill give you the lowdown, there's even a new club just opened you would like im sure.;)

Moscow is a very expensive city. Some recent survey by a human resources company ranked it among the top 3 in the world.

Utagaura is right - there's more billionaires here than anywhere in the world except NYC (I think London is 3rd), not to mention the thousands of millionaires. There's a sick amount of money in this city... and a huge disparity with the rest of the country.

London gives it a good run for its money, of course... in London, it's the expense of the little things that really gets you. And transport. and, if you live there, taxes. On a whole, it's more expensive.
