Dude, planning on doing an event at Ember - any advice/dire warnings?

Well, I've not been down there since my last (disastrous!) party back in june, but I know a new manager took over around the same time who was keen to put more effort into the nights going on, and I think they've also improved the sound system and DJ equipment, which was pretty lame.

Not sure if they're still doing the same deal for a night, which was £300 deposit on a £2K bar spend ... always thought that was very steep. But its a cool room for a party when there's enough people down there. :)

Be good to find someone who's done something down there more recently and ask them ...

Sorry dude not much help am I! :P

We're getting it at no deposit and £1500 min bar, so sounds like they're trying harder! Sound system doesn't look too loud, but OK.. equipment is on the bar, so I'll be doing my Escapism cruise trick of djing whilst looking over my shoulder :?

Thanks anyhow dude:)

I played downstairs in there in a DJ comp.

The set-up was pretty bad. There was no monitor to speak of, a dubious mixer (although that might have been supplied by the promoters) and, as you say Mark, the decks were on the end of the bar. It was a bit of a nightmare.

Still won though! :D
