Its for thr 1st April me'dear :D

The circle, hammersmith & city and metropolitan lines are all down that weekend

you can get a tube from Liverpool street to Kings Cross by changing at Tottenham court Road. it would take a bit longer but no more than half an hour. as an added complication though you can't change at Tottenham Court Road before 7.30pm (I have no idea why  )

god isn't the tube great!  :?

It's because they're fixing the escalators leading to the Northern line platforms!

   Fecking public transport

Thanks for looking into it for me, i doubt we'll be goin anywhere until late anyway so after 7.30pm wont really be a problem for us.

Thanks again

St Martins (nr Covent Garden) a bit minimalist but quite nice if you want something a bit out of the ordinary8)

i love st martins and they have the best sashimi in the restaurant downstairs :p

yo mambs, most of the hotels in that area have an hourly rate ;)

Seriously though, I work just round the corner from there and there's a nice Jury's Inn on Pentonville Road, the Jury's has always served me well when I go to Brum for a weekend.

Just noticed that Babs covered that one...soz, however how bout Malmaison in Clerkenwell, about 5mins cab ride from Kings X and perfect for lot's of cool boozers!!

The rooms are lovely too, we stayed here last August when we came down to the Cross. Excellent choice Sandi :) 8)
