Hi Grego, Spunkymonkey and any1 else into betting. I had started a topic a few weeks ago about Online Gambling....anyways i remember u posting about ur fondness for a flutter! I also read another post and noticed your were perhaps betting at/on Cheltenham.

Did you have a bet today? I put a £10 eachway on Hardy Eustace...i thot he was goin 2 do it for a while aswell!
I was also watching the highlights tonight and noticed Shamayoun won at 40-1 at the 5.20 (i think).....now, i bet on this horse a few weeks ago when he was 20-1 in another normal race which he easily won...had i known he was racing i would have risked a few quid on him! Absolutley gutted i never knew :spank: !

Unfortunitly i agreed to work a 7am-4pm 2mor so will miss the days procedings! However has urself, Spunkymonkey (or any1 else) (like re: Voy Por Ustedes) any tips (or naps), thots, preminitions, intuitions for Thursdays and Fridays racing?

Gaz!

Ps. I justed place a couple of bets there (online obviously at this time of nite!) and here they are...

Vincent O' Brien County Hurdle (Fri): Dessert Quest 6/1, £4 ew.

J C B Triumph Hurdle (Fri): Shamayuon 25/1, £6 ew.

wednesday's emotional bet is for moscow flyer but i think kauto star will be jus too good in the queen mother. skys the limit in the coral cup is a decent each way/place price.

thursday and friday:? :? :? off the top of my head, haven't looked at great detail at form.

impek and war of attrition are both outstanding talents and my money would be on them both to be placed.

the emotional bet is for baracouda but i think he has a better chance than moscow flyer does in his race. l'ami is a place option for the gold cup and royal auclair will stay all day at a massive price, so worth a few pennies each way.

Unfortunately I have been so busy at work in recent weeks (and this week) that I dont have too much time to concentrate on Cheltenham this year. May actually work out better for me as I will have a few bets on horses I have been following all year rather than looking at the form on the day and trying to figure it all out.....which generally ends in me throwing money away.

The Queen Mother looks another great race today and as Grego said Moscow Flyer is the one most people will be wanting to win. He has had a poor campaign this winter and things have not looked right for him although Jessy Harrington said a couple of weeks ago he was coming back to form. But the word from home in Ireland is something is amiss again and he has started to drift in the betting.
For me Central House has been the form horse all winter, as he normally is and he usually comes to this race with a big chance but in past years has found the ground too firm for him. He has got a bit of cut in the ground this year so it could be his year this year. If he does win it will turn out to be a great reprisal for his jockey Richard Loughran who stopped riding around 200 yards from the post in a big race at Christmas when he was in front as he thought he had passed the winning post. He finished up being 3rd.

Apart from that I havent really got anything else I fancy.
Nitefly mentioned Denman in the first but he is odds on favourite and represents no value for me. He may well end up winning but he is too short a price to get any benefit from it.

Tried to post this earlier but the server was too busy....

I agree with Spunkymonkey about Central house... although the ground seems to be suiting Kauto Star. Fota Island is getting a lot of press here in Ireland and could be worth a look.
Refinement over Our Ben, purely because of performing well in bigger races lately.

Equus Maximus in the Weatherby.... trainer Willie Mullins has a great pedigree in this race.

But what do I know............

impek is the my nap for today, although i'd love to see baracouda win again but it'll be tough.

war of attrition is running the gold cup now, currently c.9/1

saw sky sports news this morning and a rep from william hill said yesterday was the best ever day in their history in terms of profit. £100 million staked and only £50 million paid out. 2 33/1 winners, 11/1 in the queen mother and 11/1 in coral cup being the reason. bad day for the punters:(

Have no major ideas for today at all!

Turpin Green 11/2 - Jewson Novicies 2.00pm

Outside bet for the same race - Chilling Place 20/1

bottled it and decided to do what i always do and put a shed load for it to be placed (on betfair), glad i did so!

i love gambling (when i win;) ) .

might not play tomorrow cos i'm destined to lose my winnings backing my boy war of attrition in the gold cup:oops: :p

didn't cos it was an emotional bet and you're on a losing ticket when you let your heart rule your head (gambling anyway).

so £25 x c. 8/1 = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$8) 8) 8)

think its called sod's law:lol:

no, sods law is when u stupidly put £50 on an odds on shot in a 3 horse race as some lame racecourse with about 5 spectators... only to watch it trail in last on heavy going in a downpour so wet, u can barely make out the 3 horses in the mist...

or deciding not to do the extra line on the jackpot @ leicester for the sake of £3, only to see the 1st 5 selections come in, and have the horse you didnt do in the last race beat yrs into 2nd. (still won £150 for the placepot, and was seeing bird behind the counter for a few weeks behind her blokes back tho - so cant complain).

:spank:
