F1

Yea was a good manouver Coulthard did at the start to get into 3rd wasnt it. Fisichella was the man though.

Saw it too. Love the fact Renault seem to have a car to match Ferrari.. i know its early days, but it seemed to work very well.

Not being patriotic or anything ;) but Fernando Alonso should challenge for the world championship.. :D

?????

8O FERNANDO WHO??...zee old square jaw schu-thingy must have been pissed!....lol whens the london grand-prix?

think Alonso and Fisichella both stand a good chance this season, maybe even Coulthard if it wasnt just a sheer fluke cuz of the qualifying sessions. Villeneuve surprised me tho, u'd think he would moved outta the way a bit quicka!

I know!! Villeneuve held up half the pack for about 20 laps!!!
Have to agree with you, this weekends race was completely screwed because of the rain on saturday. I'd expect normality to resume in Malaysia. Having said that Schumi didnt seem that quick when he was racing under normal conditions yesterday.
We'll have to wait for Ferrari to introduce theyr new car later this year.. :?

Maurice.. its Fernando ALONSO, and he's the youngest ever pole position AND grand prix winner in Formula One history.. ;)

Nail-on-head. Ok, so Schuey didn't win. This time. You know that he's going to win the next 4 races in a row and win the season. It's just the facts. I love the technology and the sophistication of Formula One Winner, but besides the "ooohh" factor, there really isn't much action.

What I want to see is Formula One at Martinsville or Bristol. Those tracks are a two-turn oval less than a half-mile in lenght. I know that the purists will scoff at the fact that F1 would be at an oval, but screw 'em, I want to be able to watch F1 without falling asleep. There is so much passing and bump-n-grind at those tracks (how about 72 lead changes in a three-hour race sound to you?) the crowd is never sitting down.

i think thats why its so boring, cos its 3 hours long

Nahh, F1's only about 2 hours long. NASCAR, the race of southern Rednecks and other low-class Americans, can go from 3-5 hours long, depending on the number of cautions or red-flags, and that is what I was talking about. In three hours at Martinsville, there is 70+ lead changes, 10 or so accidents, and tons of drivers fighting in the pits. Who cares that the cars are archaic at best when someone in 42nd place has as much of a chance to win as the polesitter?

I would love to see NASCAR allow things like fuel injection, turbocharging, multiple-valve heads, independent rear suspension, traction control, use a REAL spoiler and put the cars on a diet, basically get the cars out of the 1960's, and I'd love to see a NASCAR driver that enunciates when speaking, but I don't want the action to get as  as Formula One.

'cause we all know that spending hours on the internet talking to people you've never met is a great life indeed, one to brag about!

Wanker.

F1 is just boring now and not even cutting edge anymore. Everytime a new technology comes along now to make the cars faster/better it just gets banned to slow the cars down again

I used to love F1 but I just can't get interested in it these days. Long gone are the days of bitter rivals like prost and senna. It all started going downhill when they introduced those stupid fuel stops. Stupid. I want to see drivers win through racing, and not by which team can think of the best fuel strategy. It's not chess. In some ways I believe its a victim of its own success. shame
