F*** Me I'm Famous Question

OK - So Ibiza virgin here, I've been reading everything I can get my hands on, and talked to a bunch of people that have been there before, and have got a good idea of what to do/expect that I like. I did run into one thing though that I couldn't really get any good straight answers on.. I'm gonna be over there for 8 days in July, and the July 14th show for FMIF is going on. From what I read is it's SUPER packed, and the spotlight description said not even to bother cause there's so many people there.

What's the deal with this party? Is it really That good? I've heard so many good things about the Pure Pacha shows that i was sorta disapointed to see this on the schedule instead, until I started reading about it, and now I'm just confused. I did a few forum searches and didn't find a whole lot regarding this party, so figured it was time for a thread.

Anyone's who's been to one of the FMIF parties give me an honest opinion. Wild crazy party that I can't miss? Or should I find another show that night. My personal music tastes don't really matter, I just like big wild and crazy dancin' parties.

Thanks!

Hi there, Dietdew

The main difference between FMIF and an traditional Pure Pacha night is that you'll have David Guetta and Bob Sinclar appearing as the headlining DJs. FMIF is the name of Guetta's party promotions. If you look at the party calendar, you'll note that there's often guest DJs alongside Pure Pachs headliner Pete Tong (or in place of him on Pure Pacha nights he's not scheduled to attend). It's just that when some DJs appaer, like Guetta, they want their promotional name included in the title of the party. Another example is Steve Lawler and his Viva moniker. July 14 is a joint Pure Pacha/FMIF night.

Friday nights at Pacha tend to draw a bigger crowd becaue, well, it's Friday night for one thing. I don't think this in any case means that you should avoid the party. Yes, the place might be full, but in addition to the main room you've got the Global room, the Funky room and the rooftop terrace chill-out area so you can always move around if you want to take a break from the crowd.

Both Guetta and Sinclar are great DJs in my opinion so if you haven't seen them play then you should definitely go. Just stake yourself out a spot on the dancefloor and have a good time!
