hi everyone,

im going to the f*** me im famous closing party at pacha on 27th sep, but that night is the dj awards at pacha and im pretty sure that the awards are done before any of the public go into the club. is this true? and also do the djs who are there for the awards hang around in the club as sort if an after award party? it would be pretty cool bumping into the likes of louie vega and david morales in pacha.

any info anyone?

Forget the DJs - they should have the Pacha Dancer and Champagne Girl of the year awards. They work hard every year and don't get any recognition.

how come f*** me im famous is so bad this year? ive been to one before and thought it was a great nite, few years back tho. ive heard david guetta plays really commercial now but have to be honest and say that im going to see bob sinclar and not him. as bob sinclar is one of my fav djs. great producer too.

and ive seen that the doors to pacha open at 12midnight as usual and you can go in and watch the awards take place, and as the previous post said the actual party starts at 1.30am

I have seen Guetta play some pretty decent sets in the past. One of his visits to Moscow and an appearance at Ministry of Sound come to mind.

However, I went to FMIF in June and, like Utagaura, I thought it was one of the worst nights I've been to in Ibiza. Utter crap. He plays nothing but remixed radio tunes now. The cheese factor is off the charts. His most recent appearance out here was similarly poor.

Haven't seen Bob Sinclar for a while now but I've seen him multiple times here, in Ibiza and in London and only once was I disappointed. He played a particularly memorable progressive house set at the old Zepelin club (RIP) in Moscow a few summers back. I just hope he hasn't gone the way of Guetta :?

We went last Year. When we got there they were just finishing off the awards, taking photo's and stuff. The public were allowed in but to be honest you wouldn't miss much.
Music was commercial but OK. We were put of a bit by how crowded the place was and left a little early. However we were at the end of our holiday and flagging by then, so our enthusiasm was wilting a bit 8)

ive seen bob sinckar play quite a number of time before for defected and for pure pacha nites and ive never seen a bad set from him. his style changes from time to time but so does every dj. i like the way he blends disco house, french filtered house, latin, tribal, progressive all into one and he always seems to make it work. thats why he always stands out and its always good to see him play.

every time i have heard guetta or heard other peoples comments on him it awlays sounds the same. im actually starting to think the he has played the same tracks at every party he has played at this year in ibiza, cos ive heard samples of what he has played. think he only has 2 hours worth of music and has played the same set all season. anyone agree?

to be honest, i reckon guetta and sinclar are on a par with one another, its just that sinclar seems like hes a bit less full of himself, so i dont actually mind him so much, other than hes a pish dj.

Dubfire from Deep Dish has also been confirmed to play at the F*** Me Im Famous closing with bob and david, should be hot!!!!!! :D

if thats yer bag then have a good time, i mean it :)

i had a good laugh at pure pacha closing last year (apart from getting my guestlist knocked back for looking "ill" then being made to pay 60E to get in 5 minutes later :?) but that was purely cause i was meeting up with folk inside. Bob Sinclar was TERRIBLE! Really not my thing at all, yet everyone was saying it. It was a joke! And considering id started off the season with Laurent Garnier at Pure.

nearly died next morning though. literally. bad times :?

well Dubfire is amazing. even if the other 2 arnt that good on the nite then il make the most of it. i have to say though, in all 8 years of going to ibiza and experiencing different clubs and different nites, i havnt actually had a bad nite since the 2nd time i went!!!! and that was eden and es paradise.

ive never had a bad nite in pacha, space, el divino, privilege, amnesia, dc10, im open minded to most forms of 'dance' music so its good to experience different djs who play different kinds of music, so even if david guetta and bob sinclar are not 'on form' on the nite then i would still have a good nite cos its ibiza!!!!

the atmosphere at FMIF was great, but the music was the worst i have heard in a long time. It was like the morning video hits show..........full of commercial cheese. Sinclair played all of his cheesy commercial tracks and Guetta just played a bunch of tracks which he picked up from the top 40 stand of the sanity music store. I don't mind the odd crossover commercial track in a set, but when you hear that crap for 6 hours it's disappointing.

The first time i heard bob sinclair 4 years ago, he played a good set of french house with no cheese, but this was terribl

if you can put up with **** music, then you will enjoy yourself because the atmosphere was excellent.
