Extinct

But they all deserve a vote, why can't the money go towards every single one? From mammals to the insects.

Every night this week their showing a different animal and they’ve sent different celebrity’s around the world to show you what your money can do for these animals etc.. Last night they Had Sadie Frost going to Borneo and helping out Orangutans.. really good footage..

So every night you can vote by texting or calling for the animal which you want to help.. you can vote as many times as you like and vote for all the animals..

I think by saying you can vote for your favorite is making the show more interesting for people that wouldn’t normally watch this kind of thing.. well that’s the only reason I can think of………:)

It all contributes. I just don't think it is necessary for some silly celebrity to make people aware of what is going on.

Wasn't arguing with your general point. Must dig out what the rest of the figures are made up of.

And the celebrity part of it, rates alongside famous multimillionaires campaigning for us all to donate cash to things.

Thats OK you don't need to dig out any figures

All the moneys going to the WWF, they have to get money from somewhere.. and I think it’s a great way for people to watch it and realize what’s going on. In a world where everyone’s fascinated by celebrity’s it’s a good way of getting people watching..kids and older.

They need money so badly and every penny helps.

What your money will buy
£1 can save an orang-utan's life by paying for food for one orang-utan at the care centre for a day.
£5 buys 2kg of powdered milk to feed a baby orang-utan at the care centre for five days.
£50 would pay for the fortnightly salary of a local field worker on the Heart of Borneo orang-utan project
£150 allows us to buy a global positioning system so the exact nest sites can be recorded within the Heart of Borneo
£5,000 allows us to save the life of 10 baby orang-utans by bringing them to care centre.
£50,000 will allow us to replant 100 hectares of rainforest in the Heart of Borneo protecting wild orang-utans.
£500,000 would allow us to replant 1000 hectares of forest within the Heart of Borneo. This will restore critical habitat for the orang-utan providing food and shelter for them as well as saving one of the richest ecosystems in the world.

Where's the economies of scale in that?

They could at least get every 10th hectare free.

So much for celebrity influence. They don't even pay fo their drinks most of the time. They need a decent commercial manager.

Apparently £2,000,000 will fund a space mission to send a family of orang-utans back to the Planet Orang. But this has not been confirmed.
