extended disco-season !?

Better hold back on those opening weekend flight tickets then ;).. might not be the weekend after IMS after all !
 
Now they just need to bring back morning partying. doesn't have to be everywhere but some select places would be nice.
 
I would guess they feel they dont need to. 2011 season was one of the busiest in recent years if not ever IIRC , and a lot of the younger/first time visitors wont even recall morning/early afternoon clubbing. Id say the authorities are happy with both the tourist number increase, and the decrease of casualties at Can Misses through what they see as the excess of 24hr clubbing.

As they say, you can't miss what you never had.
This year most definitely felt busier. Would be great if they did extend the season!

After hours/morning partying exists all over the globe. The younger crowd might not recall it in Ibiza but I'm sure wherever they are from they know how great it can be. Where there is a demand for something and money to be made, there will be people trying to satisfy that demand. Time for the next DC10...
 
the association of clubs of the balearic islands, who will have a meeting with the club owners of ibiza next month to talk about it, likes this initiative which is projected for 2013 season but with one condition: to be strict with all the venues in an irregular situation.....

update:

the meetings will happen next wednesday.....

first they will meet with the san jose authorities to find out what's going on with the NINE venues in their municipality in an irregular situation, "to legalize those that can be legalized and shut down those that can't"

then they will meet with the club owners to see if it's possible to extend the season although they will also talk about the new "general tourist law" which, they fear, will allow to multiply the number of hotels like ushuaia

seems like the meeting with the san jose authorities didn't go as expected by the association.....

the mayoress is willing to listen but "she won't allow any pressure".

some witnesses reported that the representatives of the clubs association left the meeting visibly upset with the mayoress and so suddenly that the press officer of the council didn't even have time to take a picture.

^^ but the Openings seem to be a week earlier than usual, and the closings about a week later .. so that's some way towards the target anyhow.

Eh, not sure if that is right.

Space opening is last Sunday of May and closing is first Sunday in October, same as usual. Amnesia weekly openings are second week of June, same as usual etc.

strictly speaking for space, they will be open for one more week than last year. last year it were 18 weeks (opening 29 may / closing 2 oct) while 2012 it will be 19 weeks with the opening being on may 27 and the closing being on oct 7.
