Everything starts with an E

Does anyone remember this old chestnut?

It was the first 12" dance record I ever bought and still holds a prime place in my meagre collection.

Yes !! - Bad old Jeremy Squeally wasn't it (before he went all fashionista and decided he'd only play for Jean Paul Guatier) - bit pooh if I remember rightly

i know i bang on about sasha all the time........  but on fundacion there is a track (6 or 7 i think) which goes on about "Planet E" and always reminds me of the "everything starts with an e" track.

that is all.

Anyone remember his first record "John Wayne is Big Leggy" where the members of the band all dressed up as (very camp) cowboys and indians on Top of the Pops - legendary (and somewhat risque performance)

was that scritti politti?8O

I've still got that 7" single somewhere

When the rumours went round that he had died of AIDS years and years ago i figured it might be worth holding on to in case it was worth some money in years to come......

Kate Caplan works as a photographer now - her work is fantastic...

Back in 1989 it was an absolute classic for about a month :) Played absolutely everywhere.

L and an S and a D coming in like love sex and danger, drop a tab of e and rub up with a stranger. eh eh eh eh ecstaseeeeee.

Dosen't type out quite like it sounds!

I know the programme is a dirty word on this forum but does anyone remember the interviews on Ibiza Uncovered with Jeremy Healy and Amos ?

God what absolute C**TS they came accross as. :spank: :spank:

There were a number of complete up their own jacksy baboons featured on that series (Danny Clockwork anyone) but Healy & Amos made me cringe with embarrasment like I'd never felt before.

I remember that episode, there was a particularly hot dancer on the programme if I remeber rightly. The series doesn't seem to have been aired for a couple of years now.....shame!

While it gets slated on here, Ibz Uncovered was one of the main motivating factors that made me (and my fellow 17 year old mates) choose Ibiza as the destination for our first holiday without parents in 1996.

That first visit (while very Brits Abroard, booze fuelled and revolving around the West End and trying to pull) started my love for the island and I've been back virtually every year since at least once and worked the 99' season.

Now (aged 27) I appreciate different things from the place (i.e. villa not hostel, Aigua Blanca not the strip of sand and broken bottles opposite Eden in San An, Ama Lur not Wips) but without that first visit (decided on partially because of Ibz Uncovered) I might not be choosing Ibiza as the annual island for my holidays now.

i've said this before on here but jeremy healy probably ranks amongst the few people that when i've first met them, i just thought they were the biggest tool ever. amos is probably worse cos he is just a hanger on.

did you know he goes out with Lisa I'Anson??8O :o :?

danny clockwork is alright, he just soemtimes plays up to "waahahhwoahhhhhh 8O 8O 8O 8O crazzzzzy danny clockwork" thing too much. but remember, after all, he is the brand for his club.

Nope Danny is an egotistical tw*t - I have been in his company many many times at Turnmills, at mate's parties, and in Ibiza etc and he really does make me cringe with the sh*t and attitude he gives out....... an out and out "faaaackin caaaaaant" of the first degree.... I was embarrassed to be in him company quite frankly....

i thought the same as you at first but i worked and lived with him in ibiza in 2000 and realised he was just your classic charliehead. that season he didn't cane it that much (well not compared to previous years) and he was a totally different guy, i owe him a lot cos he gave me my chance in ibiza (altho i appreciate i was one of the lucky few and most people who work for him are treated like sh!t).........:?

no idea which danny gould he is these days.:? probably bitter and twisted cos nobody knows what clockwork is anymore.

Maybe I just am unlucky to have met him numerous times when he's being a complete charlied up arsehole then..... but I have never been around him when he has been nice and therefore has not "redeemed himself" in my eyes.......

He lives off his brother's and his father's name good name imo....
