News from The Old Bailey:
A custody case that set precedent yesterday involved an 11 year old boy who had been beaten by his parents. Challenging the court's ruling that he should be placed in the care of his aunt, the boy revealed that his aunt beat him worse than his parents. The judge granted custody of the boy to his grandmother, but again the boy objected. Further investigation by Social services revealed that there was a climate of physical abuse throughout the family. The judge therefore asked the boy to present a viable alternative to whom should be responsible for his care. After some deliberation the judge placed the boy in the care of Everton Football Club as the judge firmly believed that they are incapable of beating anybody.

As a staunch Evertonian, I feel I have to reply in some sort of defensive manor! Miracles have been known to happen in football (and God knows we need one tonight!) so maybe a 4-0 thumping for Dynamo tonight could kick start our season and we can go on to reach the (relative) glories of last season!

Im a spurs fan mate, what do you reckon for next week? Im hoping for a repeat of last season but I cant see it. Think you'll be really up for it against us.

Ross - we traditionally lose heavily at your place. so expect a spurs win!!! after that we have Chelsea at home!!

Not good! Everton's problem is that they didnt really get any one of any quality in over the summer - think we got a great deal for Davies! If you stay in that position after christmas I wouldnt think Robbie Keane will end up joining you either.

Will be hoping to keep it tight most of the game, look like it's heading for a dismal 0-0 draw, then nick a winner near the end!

Robbie would be an absolute Godsend, but if we do continue as we are, I think he'd rather stay with you and continue his super-sub roll, rather than come to us and play every game in a relegation dog fight!

I love Keano and would be gutted if he left but sometimes he's so frustrating - he'd definately need a big man to play off of at Everton (a fit Beattie maybe?) cause everyone can see that him and Defoe doesnt work and he played better with Quinn for Ireland IIRC. As cheesy as it is, i love that celebration too

Other comedy spot was Derek Hatton (militant labour council in liverpool in the 80's). he now presents a programme on Granada Tv advising middle aged men what to wear. he should take a look in the mirror himself!!

 Quality!
