Has anyone stayed? Can you recommend?

Getting mixed signals from some of the reviews. Thinking of a 4 nighter in July, but can't agree on a place to stay. Was looking at the El Hotel, but no rooms available.

Booo.
 
There's loads of reviews on here about it, me personally I've stayed there twice and think it's vastly over-priced for what it is. I don't mind spending money on decent accomodation but when all you're getting is a bog standard room with a massive funk off Hed Kandi poster I thought I was being ripped off :roll:

Good points - no kids, nice food, outside bar is nice, pool area is nice (but a lot of it is in shade)

Bad points - basic rooms (as it's a hotel - no fridge, living area etc), lots of coked up tw@ts, inside bar is like any $hit bar in London

That's just imo tho but I think there's loads better places for that amount of money or less.
 
Ha...that sorts that one out then :)

I don't even like Hed Kandi that much anyway, so it's probably a bad choice!

I'll keep looking.
 
Also, when you fall asleep they come into your room and take a pint of blood every night.

The black pudding in the restaurant is nice though.
