Erick Morillo & Pacha - Never again!!!

i went to both Subliminals in the past week, and Morillo was amazing both times, pure holiday party DJ, purely rocked it. The 2nd date was rammed because it was a Subliminal vs F***k Me Im Famous Party, and granted not alot of places to dance, but isnt that why we go to Pacha to see the Superstar DJ's?? Theres too many haters who spend too much time slagging people off rather than going out and enjoying a DJ like Morillo. In the last 2 weeks I saw Morillo/Choo Choo Romero/Guetta and Angello, for me it doesnt get much better than that, and Morillo was at the top of his game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't go out just to see the Superstar DJs, I go out to DANCE. Of course Steve Angello was one of the things that made me go there in the first place, but even the Swedish Mafia can't make up for having no room left to dance! I'm awfully sorry, if u think people who don't join in celebrating Pacha for the sake of itself but rather judging by their personal experience are simply haters :-)

i remember 1 night i was floating about above the dj box at the railings and there was no space to see down then this chick buggered off somewhere, prob the toilet or bar or somethin so i moved over to stand and look ut to the dj's 5 mins later she came back and said 'excuse me i was standing there'

lmfao, what the hell is that about, snooty f'n cow!

greetings.........if the general agreement is that pacha is not great on wed.any alternatives for house/techno for that night............is dc-10 open!!!.................ibiza virgin here, that has been reading this forum and hears everyone raving about dc-10.................also for my first time for a tue/wed nights just looking for a venue with a friendly dance crowd..........a way to ease myself in ...........any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..........................

I went to Azuli @ El Divino, upfront techy house most the night, then ex-DC10 resident Jo Mills, plays from 4.30am-close most weds here now. She was excellent last wednesday. Sit on San An beach during the day, like we did, and hopefully you get free tickets like us.

many thanks............will give it a shot...................going in sept..............cant wait

morillo vs guetta!!!!! 19th july

;)
was lucky enough to get to pacha last week for subliminal vs **** me i'm famous and got to say it was ****ing amazing!!!!!!!!! morillo and guetta were untouchable and towards the end of the night were playing back to back and you got the impression you were seeing something really special.yes pacha is crowded and yes full of plenty of c***s but cannot argue with the best club on the island!!!!!!!!!!

Stopping the music for these people to come out and dangle from the ceiling in fairy outfits - dodgy!

If theres one thing that annoys me about Pacha its their dancers. Sorry not them specifically but the fact in the middle of a set they decide to turn the spotlight on them and either stop the music or slow it down so they can show off.

You then get large sections of the crowd taking out their camera phones and barging past you so they can take pictures and then just stand there, not even dancing!! Whats the point!!! I went to a club to dance and hopefully listen a brlliant set, not to watch a show, i'd undersand it if it was in Privilege where theres loads of room, but not in Pacha when we're squashed like sardines as it is.

Regarding Morillo, the guy's always been good, he's by no means my favourite, but he's very good at getting the crowd going.

Morillo was always at the top of his game by getting the croud up on thier feet - No matter what club you throw him in he'll succeed doing so!
You really can't argue with that!

Reagrding the music he plays - At the end of the day it's all a matter of taste...

i disagree ferd, i love the way the pacha dancers dance with so much arrogance and so little interest in what they are paid to do.

one legendary performer spent a whole season with her feet firmly rooted to the spot, arms making the occasional twitch and body, well, essentially motionless. also, she was totally mashed every night and the most miserable, pretentious, arrogant, snobby, stuck up cow i've ever met. i loved her for it!8O

it just all adds to what makes pacha great;)

I can see where your coming from with that actually - but when witnessing it for the first time i was like WTF ?! Seemed totally random, espec when morillo actually stopped his set for it. Guess you've got to see the funny side. :)
