"Ever since Eric and I played back-to-back at Serbia's Exit Festival in 2009, we've been looking for the right opportunity to play together at the right major event. After our Ewer St warehouse events went down so well, London was the logical choice of city and Brixton Academy the obvious choice of venue. It's great that we're able to make it happen on this special night, at the worldwide unveiling of Eric's new EPIC show. It's such a famous London venue as well and I'm looking forward to bringing my own sound to that huge room for this one off event. I'll be closing, so after Eric's set we'll be turning down the lights and carrying on till the early hours. See you there!†Adam Beyer
Set to be one of the biggest electronic music events of 2011, the World Premiere of EPIC (Eric Prydz in Concert) on Saturday 2nd April at O2 Academy Brixton will look to push the boundaries both visually and aurally. To further illustrate this we can now announce the nights very special guest, a globally recognised DJ and producer who only DJs at the world's most cutting edge clubs and events. The figurehead of Swedish techno and head honcho at Drumcode Records, we are delighted to present Adam Beyer...
Adam Beyer is synonymous with all that is exciting about techno. A passionate A&R, Beyer has seen his Truesoul, Mad Eye and Drumcode labels go from strength to strength, the latter of which was and still is about a very clear musical vision. Honest, forward thinking and functional, Beyer's progressive approach and love of music can be seen in the live arena. A natural and accomplished DJ capable of playing across the range of his genre, his sets are characterised by a mesmerising fluidity. Playing his first gig in London in seven months and the first time he has played on the same stage as Eric since their mind-blowing back-to-back set at Exit festival in Serbia in 2009, we're sure this extra special addition to the lineup will be met with universal approval.
