well, I've only been here six weeks and been stood up TWICE by two djs. Is there something in the water?

I have always found in Ibiza that the locals prefer to warm to you first rather than the other way around.

Dont try too hard or be pushy.........let them come to you. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

If you cant befriend a hippy or two then there is something seriously wrong.

Check out Aura on Friday nights or Grail during the week.

I think of adopting a cat almost every day. But they don't make good global travelling partners. Customs hate digging through trays of cat litter...

I'm missing houmous and a black cat called Colin most about home...

I intend to enjoy both on Christmas Day...
 
I could spark a bit of controversy by posting this but it really is a genuine reflection of my life on Ibiza. It's my blog, 28 crap dates and counting

Today's episode is called 'The Big Ginger Sod.'


I may come across as slightly embittered, but who wouldn't be after 28 of the world's most AWFUL dates in a row? All except one, that is, which was last week and lovely, and hopefully is the start of a bucked trend : )
 
No I'm working backwards.

Crap "date" 27 was possibly the nastiest man I've ever met. Still reeling from it.
Date 26 stood me up.
Date 23-25 inclusive managed to stand me up, mess me round AND walk out of the bedroom in the middle of an important act because he was' tired.'
Date 24 stood me up (this was in America)
Date 23 burst out crying at a vital point....

Oh god, then there's the FREAK who came and rearranged my bedroom, the one who emailed me stills from Clockwork Orange (a somewhat 'rapey' film) the one who got very amorous and made me steal a dart from a bar in case he went for me....and the one who never made me laugh once, the one who wore a horrendous jacket, the one who'd killed his mate in a car crash and was in a very bad place mentally...

This whole getting past first base. What the hell's that when it's at home???

Trust me, it's only going to get funnier/worse. I don't remember causing a lorry full of mirrors to swerve off a motorway bridge at any point, but I get the feeling that's what I did at some point.
