4 Parties down, 8 to go in 2010 and we have some really exciting stuff planned. Adam Sheridan played one of the best ES sets in a long time downstairs on May Bank Holiday and we will most definitely be getting him back early next year. Also a special mention to Mike Foyle who was solid as ever for us. Mike has played for us previously, but never on the boat and he finished the party off in style.
June will see us getting back a firm ES favourite in Jon O’Bir. Jon needs little introduction as it will be his third appearance on the boat, as well as being a resident previously at Godskitchen and is still a regular there and at all the top trance promotions around. 2010 has already been one of the busiest for Jon with performances literally all over the globe from Venezuela to Ministry of Sound in London to The Far East to the United States. His artist album Introspectrum has proved a real success and his radio show ‘Ways and Means’ has now been airing for more than 4 years.
We switched the main decks around for the May party and this is something we will consider again for June, but a decision will be made nearer the time.
Joining Mr O’Bir will be a rising star in ES debutant Ali Wilson who has already played for some of the biggest promotions around including Trance Energy and Judgement Sunday and has also produced for some of the top labels in the world – Warner, Armada, High Contrast, Toolroom, CR2, Spinnin, Incharge, Flashover and of course his own imprint TEKELEC. Labelled by Judge Jules and Carl Cox as one of their DJs to watch, Ali has pushed his way into the record boxes of the biggest names in the industry and receives their continuous support.
Ali’s production has taken things to another level when media giant Warner asked Ali to remix The BBC Sound of 2009 award winner ‘Little Boots’ not only once but twice after they were so happy with the first single. From these he’s now been asked to remix the world’s biggest artists such as Tiesto and Bloc Party! His tech trance, driving sound is not to be missed!
Our residents for the night are the incredible talents that are Jamie Parnell and Matt Weeks. Playing off of 3 decks Jamie has been a revelation for us with his driving, uplifting and dirty beats and his passion and enthusiasm behind the decks is second to none. Don’t miss out on this extended set from Jamie…..Matt Weeks’ sound of progressive and melodic house always works well on the boat..Matt can fit into a number of genres and is a real talent to watch.
Our guests this month include debutants in the shape of tech house maestro Roshan Tajapra, making his ES debut alongside the Super Mario Brothers, who will be playing their first intimate venue in sometime after touring the UK festivals belting their House sound out. You can also catch them at Tiesto in the Park this summer in London. We have invited back some firm ES favourites in Danny Moggs and Tim Cullen for their first ES gigs of the year and following them will be Baratone who some will know better as Tyler D. Otherwise known as Dean Tyler, he and Torque will be playing on their 3rd boat party in under a year. Need I say more?
Completing the line up are 3 DJs who have continuously smashed it at Ministry of Sound for our sister night Plastic Fondu. Duncan M, Richie C and Olly Holmes play a mixture of driving progressive, tech house and dirty house and are well worth checking out!
So for the biggest bargain in town, where you can watch the sun go down cruising up and down the Thames, with pub prices, some of the best DJs around and in the best city in the world…what more could you want for a Saturday night in the summer?
