Since it's inception just over a year ago in a grungy pub in south London, Electricsex has been awarded the title of best new night in Time Out magazine, it's London parties have been described in reviews as "Bora without the sand" (John B D.S.I.) and "focussed anarchy" (Michael Stewart Ibiza Voice) In just a year its founders and resident DJs, Ryan O'Gorman and Andy G, heralded as the new kings of underground Ibiza, have not only teamed up with Dusted for their weekly club night in Ibiza, but have held down winter residencies at some of London's best clubs including Egg, Turnmills & The Cross.
Last summer saw Dusted take the risky decision to put an underground electronic music night in room two of Eden on their weekly club night in Ibiza. Dusted's ethos for the summer was "it's all about the music". The gamble paid off and much to peoples surprise Electricsex was a phenomenal success, gaining huge support from the Islands clued up workers and clubbers alike. The underground had made its way to San Antonio.
The free Electricsex parties Ryan was holding with Los Pirates on the Island were becoming the thing of infamy too, with Dj's such as Mr C, Tim Sheridan, Alex Neri, Dollz At Play, Francis Harris, Terry Francis, Rene and Manu playing the most dramatic locations on the Island, it's little wonder their Cave Rave made it into Mixmags "biggest moments in dance 2005"
So what has Electricsex got in store for summer 2006? Ryan and Andy will continue to break the mould of San Antonio clubbing by raising the bar further with their dedication to making Electricsex a quality musical and clubbing experience. This is clearly evident in the choice of Dj's who will be joining them at Eden each week, in fact there is probably no other club night in Ibiza where you can hear the likes of Tim Sheridan, Jo Mills, The Glimmers, Desyn Masielo, Clive Henry, King Unique and Mr C in one club. However it's not all super star Dj's, in their aim to keep things fresh they will also be using Electricsex as a platform for some of the newer talent that have been rocking Europe's capitals, with regular appearances from the Likes of Mulletover's Geddes and Luciano Esse of Gasoline in Milan.
