I think you can still vote without your card as long as you were originally issued one.

I think you can take ID with you instead of the voting card - but not entirely sure, as that might mean someone with your card can go and vote instead of you?

I'm not sure who to vote for, my housemates have stuck a 'green' thing in our window, I think the greens do pretty well round here (students, tsk!)

I've actually got NO idea about these elections in terms of who's doing what in my area - just lower council taxes please!

they have a list of all the voters in the polling station, and tick you off when you go in, so once you've voted no one else can do it in your name, even if they have got your voting card.

Crikey I can't believe the lack of marketing or buzz there's been for Big Brother this year.

I didn't even know it had started?!

You get a card thru your door a couple of weeks before, you should have got one cos you're eligible to vote, unless there's something that you've not told me like you're an illegal immigrant

your local council will have a number to ring to find out if you are on the register- you should be able to get it off their website.

Well it's all that fake tan you've been applying

Errr I dunno, sometimes the candidates stand outside the election place so if one of them is there and makes an effort to speak to me I'll prob vote them

for some reason our council has decided they don't want an election so we are stuck with the Tory gov't we so desperately need to get rid of until 2007

Did you start your lessons yet? Can we speak in spanish on saturday, all the time? :D

I always vote greens, at the end of the day they are the only ones who don't make feel shamefull the people who voted them (at least here in Spain)

I know people will hear me talking in Spanish and say "look at that pale blonde girl, she must be from Barcelona!"

Sil - the most you'll get out of us is a few grunts and the odd "Hola!"
