My wife will make me go to Hed Kandi, which I've now outgrown (sadly, she's older than I am).

Sad they don't have Defected anymore... that was probably the only night I looked forward to at El Div.
 
I remember going to a Kinki Malinki night there last summer, and seeing those Boats outside was amazing,..some serious wealth in that Marina

just wondered which night is prob best for me and my fella to go to. we both like funky house. twice as nice style music. anyway. thinking either hed kandi or miss moneypennys.

has anyone got a bit more in depth info on these two nights or can let me know what kind of sounds they place at each.x 8)
 
Well, I assume Hed Kandi will be your regular hoppin' funky disco house greatest hits redux. I heard great things about the first year they were on Ibiza but less gracious reviews of last year. Still, if you like your house bright and happy it's probably a good night.

Miss Moneypenny's is a Birmingham export. They try to play up the glamour.

I've heard OM's night on Wednesday's might be worth a visit.
 
I have, it was pretty dead though, still only 15 euros so mustn't grumble. Music was pretty good, dave lee playing. Quite a few glammed up ladies there looking good. I think they lost a lot of their crowd to HK tbh.

think i might give it a go this year...but i'm not keen on el-divino too much. i like the terrace but the club its self...hmmm...
 
Yeah, i always just stay on the terrace chatting to people, esp when it was a HK night and rammed to the rafters. Can't beat that view, esp when a four masted square rigger with full sails out sailed out of the harbour under the moonlight.....that looked awesome 8)
 
Been to Moneypennys at ED we went cos Norman Jay was playing :roll: sat through Lottie, who bored me a bit tbh, then Norman was a no show, but Rob Marmot played instead, so had an excellent time in the end, aside from slipping on my dribble while dancing and swooning over Rob :P

The sun rising over the town from the terrace is amazing too

No because i think it used to be on a Tuesday at one time and id go to Garlands instead. Plus i couldnt handle 2 nights at ED, hate the place. Insides in need of a refurb :idea:

I was there that night Leese. (I remembered because of Lottie and Norm, not the girl drooling over Rob at the DJ booth :lol: )
