After new ownership, a top-to-bottom refit and some fantastic marketing (don't worry, no snakes were harmed in the making of the impressive billboards) it's now all final: the infamous San Antonio club Eden has announced it will officially re-open in July! After a soft –opening with Judge Jules' new residency ‘Judgement Fridays' on the Friday the 5th July, the Official Opening Party will now be on Sunday 7th with Ferry Corsten.

must say, their 32Euro ticket price for all parties looks pretty good value to me. Hopefully the clientele will improve in tandem with their better line-ups.

although i find it strange that the official opening isn't just the 5th July JF date

- its the first event there
- its a friday, more clubs open friday than sunday
- its Judge Jules night, who stayed with Eden for years.

i think there are a fair good reasons for them to only do their big opening on sunday...

- two nights (JF and uncaged) as a soft opening to make sure everything runs well
- dutch owner + full on having strong line ups - why not celebrate on 7th?

Eden

During my time in Ibiza Amine Edge is playing at Eden, this will be my third visit to Ibiza but i haven't been to Eden yet, in fact i've only been to San Antonio once. I would very much like to go and see Amine but unsure what to expect of Eden. What type of crowd do you get at Eden? I cam imagine a lot of drunks from the West End?

It is hard to say with a brand new outlook. Eden doesnt usually have these quality lineups most nights of the week so it may attract people who wouldnt usually go due to the west end / drunk stereotype of years gone by.

Surely they will have kept the plastic elephants upstairs, no??? :-D

In all seriousness will defo check out Kleinenberg, refit looks great. When Tong was there I always thought the crowd was good fun, no VIP pretentiousness (if that is a word...)

Apparently..Eden has been trying to enforce a dresscode (or were for Judgement Fridays). One of our party claims to have seen someone turned away for wearing flip flops. Talk was no vests either??? WTF!!???.
One off? Excuse to deny somone entry??

Just trying to smarten the place up I reckon, trying to move away from the people who have been out on the piss all day and are jut going to Eden because they've got a free wristband. Its not hard to put a t-shirt and shoes/trainers on.

the club is much nicer than before. thanks to the new lighting it looks like a different place!

opening review coming soon...
