Gatwick always seem to have more evening/late night flights dunno whywhereas I like the early morning Easyjet flight cos you basically end up getting another day in Ibiza if you're landing at 9am-ish in the morning.

We had the bright idea for a few of us going for civilised dinner before we flew in June, plan was a bite to eat, few drinks, put our heads down for a few hours and get to Stansted for 4am, sounds good in theory

let me guess.............you made with moments to spare............. no you didn't make it all, did you?
First year I went to Ibiza I go that ridiculous flight from Gatwick arriving in Ibiza at 2:00 am.. so my first holiday in Ibiza resulted in me not checking into my hotel for the first 2.5 days.. while this was a 'good thing' 
, my holiday continued on like that until I had to leave.. and then came back and had to go to the hospital to get penicillin . he he
Last year I got a flight from Stantead and arrived at a nice sensible time , 4 in the afternoon.. soooo much better...
both years i've had a flight leaving at 1:00 am departing ibiza to Gatwick.. which I will NOT do next year.. I hate leaving at a time where everyone else's night is just beginning..

I don't know how we got to the airport, how we got on the plane, anything
Been in the _ hole was definitely an experience at Stansted altho not one which I migh repeat again in a hurry

Indeed. Although taking a whole footy team out to dinner the night our 5am flight to Las Vegas for a stag do was bound to be problematic.
Lessons leaned:
1. They will sometimes hold a flight if they are desperate to get you out of their airport
2. K and planes are not a mix for the fainthearted.
3. One half of the statement (made by the stag as took off) "We're bound to get searched in America so we better take everything now to avoid any trouble.." is a very wise judgement.

Said stag went to the loo at the back of the plane and took 15 mins to walk there!

my close shave was missing a flight back to blighty from ibiza after the season in 2000, i'd already checked in but was so out of it, i'd passed out and been shipped into the back of a guardia patrol car outside. when I woke no one was about so I just got out. it was in october, so I had to wait for ages for another flight. (guilty party = my kathleen again)

We affectionately refer to her as our good friend Katie
yeah katie was on the scene for a bit but she just took things too far and ended up getting us all in some serious bother.
kathleen is more cheeky/naughty rather than just the evil which katie turned into, there is an air of sophistication with kathleen.
