DSI User 'Mad-Elaine'

And we've all worn some kerrr-azeee clubbing outfits in the past haven't we! I was quite partial to a bit of fluffy boot action myself back in t'day. But obviously most people grow out of it when they realise that they are actually far too old to be wearing skin tight lyrca lol.

I agree with Dan though, I only take the p1ss out of people I know can verbally fight back (you know who you are ).
People like MAD-ELAINE make me cringe inwardly, but the poor girl obviously finds raving the one thing she can go to and not be judged by people. That's the good thing about raves, the PLUR does actually still stand. Anyone and everyone can go to a rave, no matter what you look like, and people will still like you. Granted a lot of it is the drugs, but thats what being a raver is all about isn't it, Peace, Love, Unity and Respect man!

That's why you get so many social outcasts in the rave scene (me included boo hoo  )

Very good points there Becki, the whole PLUR thing still does (allbeit on a much smaller scale) exist at Raves and fair play as well, id sooner go to a Rave with friendly people dancing and having a great time rather than standing in some sh*t club full of arrogant coked up posers full of themselves (think Pacha London) i was @ Moondance on NYE in London and the atmosphere was fantastic, just like the good old days although the jungle room may be excluded from that, but i love these type of nites every so often, back in the day it was every weekeend:lol:

I actually feel a bit sorry for Mad Elaine, she's obviousaly had a traumatic time of it over the years and the Hardcore Techno/Gabba scene is all she has to cling onto.

seriously, high-moral-ground-takers

get over yourselves! you're NOT gonna save the world and its FRIDAY FFS

Well my PLUR days are pretty much over, to be fair the rave scene does attract a lot of weirdos too... but like I said, anything goes there so noone really stands out!
I went to Epidemik at Ministry not long ago, more to have a blast from the past rather than a legitimate night out, and it was a good laugh....

Yeah, but admit it Johnny, the birds were hanging, weren't they?

Bet you didn't find yourself a sweet 30 year old to take home that night, eh?

I've got pals that dress up as characters out of Star Wars. It doesn't make them bad people y'know.

I'm actually quite envious of people with the courage to say "You know what? F*ck the world and the social retrictions of this weeks clothing fad. Tonight Matthew I'm going to wear whatever I bloody like, and I couldn't give a sh1t how it looks as I'll have the best accessory that can pull absolutely anything off... my smile :D"

I'd love to see you out just wearing your smile Dan

There was actually more younger people at Moondance than older people about 65 to35 % at a guess, although there were quite a lot of 30 and 40 somethings with smiles on their faces dancing around, no i didn't score on NYE i was too fcuked and having such a wicked time to bother, anyway Moondance isn't the place for scoring birds.;)

Raindance is the best of them all though, always amazing, im due another visit this year i reckon.

Aye Grant who runs Epidemik knows how to put on a good party alright, it's actually free entry if you register on the DSI Epidemik site for Epidemik @ The Ministry on 18th Jan i think, i was @ Epidemik last year @ The Ministry and had a great time (except for missing my flight back and having to embark on a
long train/ferry journey:oops::lol:)

It's only clothing. I say good on her.

Nightclubs were never born on the backs of those who dressed and acted how they thought society wanted them to act.
An admirably grown up attitude. Freaks make the party go round.

That said, these photos are effin funny. And I'm sure if Elaine saw some of the ones of me at 8am at Manumission she'd get a chuckle too.

:D:D

Blimey, I agree with you Jonny to a point. If I hadn't read the piece about her child going into care, I would have more empathy with the girl.

Just as people took the rise out of the guy in Ibiza who dresses outlandish and drives the cool motor, I couldn't understand why that guy was being given grief. I personally love the diversity of people who go clubbing.

(I would say this though as I am getting far too to be dancing for 12 hours to repetitive sounding beats :cry:)

Sad state of affairs IMO. In all honesty in my younger days I would have laughed myself into a collapsed howling wreck at such apparent lunacy...poor woman...and child:eek::eek::eek:

I'll never tire of reposting this picture....
