Drum And Bass in Ibiza?!

Hello one and all,

I am into my drum and bass. I am going to Ibiza. Would I be able to combine them both in a fun and frolicking manner consistent with me having the time of my life?
Yes the question i am a hollering is what is the deebee scene like in Ibiza?
I'm heading out on May 31st for the whole season long and would love to intermingle my big house, techno maybe trance nights with a little dnb. I luurve ambient, liquid like high contrast, hospital records, london elektricity, cyantific, logistics etc. and also enjoy bouncing up and down til my head is going to explode to hard dirty beats.
Does anyone know what the story is with this scene?

Not a lot but some. Ratpack had a night in San An somewhere last summer that allegedly featured some 'old school drum and bass' but I'd guess it was more likely more the exact same hardcore set they've been playing since 1991.

Some nights have DnB DJs as well as their normal house/techno DJs. For example, I think from memory Carl Cox had Roni Size as a guest at his Tuesday night session last year.

So, in short, you'd be best to wait for the full listings and pick a week that suits. The island's not awash with the stuff, but trust me you'll have a ball anyway.

no dont get me wrong i like to think i am a touch more 'sophisticated' with my tastes and all BUT.....gotta get up gotta feel good etc would be fun
 
The Ratpack churn out the same old tunes every time, ive lost interest in them a long time ago, a bit more originality wouldn't go amiss.

Would be good to see more Drum & Bass in Ibiza alright makes a welcome change from the constant 4 to the floor all the time.

Didn't Roni Size play at Space last year sometime?
 
Thanks chums, I'll keep a looky out for carl cox's nights then myabe he'll throw the same shebang-a-lang.
Obviously going to space opening so will keep an ear to the ground for funked up n down rhythms, moving on to DC10 opening in the early hours.
sigh, time just can't move its arse quick enough...
