They also asked where we were staying and wanted to see our passports :?

Not good i tell thee.

Still, we went to Space and decided to not go in cos my friend was feeling a little 8O so we went back to hotel and had an amazing time where we got right back on it with some randoms.

Not good at all :?....should have made a run for it ;)

Don't worry i did consider it, but there were about 5 of 'em jumping out of the van.

Good job my friend reacted quickly.

Just goes to show how you can be behaving yourself, offending no-one and all of a sudden you're public enemy no. 1 :x

makka off ere worked for the amsterdam bar,i wonder if he knew of any of the happnings going on from there ;)

pretty sure that copper in the black t shirt done me for flyering back in 2002

That program basically said -

If you want to bring loads of drugs in - do it by boat

You can carry 20 bean and only get a caution

If you want gear in San an - Go to bar amsterdam

Not as good/well presented/unbiassed as the other previous shows though :(

Friends of mine work at the BBC and when I spoke to them tonight they said they thought the first 2 in the series had been really well put together, to gain the trust of the dealers, etc this one I think went away from all that. What exactly were they trying to achieve in climbing the ladder to meet Mr Big? Were they expecting to climb aboard the £3M yacht (the one in Ibiza town with the Ferrari 360 Modena paked outside of it) for a champagne reception
I thought the first 2 programs told a story and were well put together, agreed there was a lot of sterrotyping and some misinformation but generally quite good journalism.Tonights program seemed to me to be very disjointed cutting from one thing to the next then back again - What was the pupose of showing us an overdose every 15mins, it was like an ad break? (also a good warning for us all to take it steady)
One minute the programme wanted to show the "dark side of the island and how the problem needed to be resolved the next it basically ridiculed the police with their CCTV (cleverly edited to make it look like it was of on off on) then boat patrol that stopped some old boy in a miniture Spanish Galleon who didn't look too dodgy to me,followed by the high speed chase on the radar to find the wrong boat. One thing they did catch at least was a cool beer in the bar before leaving for their holiday!
Then there was the laughable "dealers" the only one that seemed realistic of these was the buying a drink in the bar and doing a deal at the same time which was something we did a few times. The guy Vinny the scousers, etc didn't add up - how is it they gave him a knock on the back of the head but he still managed to carry out his shopping bag with hidden camera, whould they not have taken him outside and if nothing else searched his stuff and then probably given him a bit more roughing up (also he got hit over the head but no one else in the bar seemed to notice??)

My final Rambling observations were the cut scenes used several times of the unidentified bar with 2 people in body paint and Boots imported from the Mid west of America dancing to music from lifted straight from the local Chinese takaway and dazzled by the zany light show created by a caleidascope held upto the window.

The hightlight for me was Brandon Block doing a deal to top up his meagre DJ earnings warning our friends to "Keep it down,Watch for the Camera" :o

All in all diappointing but then all I really wanted to see was an hours footage of the clubs, the people and the music to help pass the days until my next visit :D

Well wot a f***ing shocker,...most of those caught on camera saying they can get this they can get that i knew really well,...cant wait to chat to them, bet they feel well stupid

Funked the Amsterdam Bar tho hasnt it,....most knew it was that sort of playground but now everyone knows

Think i saw myself on there briefly in the background,...alltho i remember one part of the programme,...them interviewing the under cover cop whilst walking down the west end,..he walked passed me and a few workers, we were all told it was a plot for busting the PR's but we all knew he was an under cover cop.

but like everyones mentioned,..for most nothing new was brought to our attention, apart from the fact that 20 pills is classed as personal use 8O

BBC going Murdoch?

After years of suffering the hurt of Ibiza Uncovered made by a lesspaid prank of Fox Sky corporation ruining the image of the island, now the "holy" BBC has the favour to make the same stupid mistake for big money.

This time the makers made a full hour documentairy which was way too long to make the (lousy) statement they figured out to make. They only suggest, and that is what is creating lenght in public docu's, good for 300.000 per hour!

In the whole docu there is no relevant interview with experts, inhabitants, entrepeneurs or whoever could give a clue what THEY (the makers, the journalists) are talking about.

The complete docu is about English tourists and there is no other nationality interviewed or viewed at all. Except some lookie loekies and police men. To be short: it is sensational, but very boring.

And how lucky they found an ambulance brother speaking English! 8O Thanks to him this product got some drama: a dead patient ! , but occasionally, not in frame. "Is he dead, yes he is dead". No show. No television, just a converstation to suggest that you have found something awfull.

Very bad product indeed. BBC unworthy, very very common to Ibiza Uncovered.

IF YOU MISSED THIS DOCU I AM ON IBIZA THIS WEEKEND WITH A VHS AND DVD COPY SO IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT PM ME!

And now on with the discussion how to promote the island outside the English tourism. It is a topic. But not because of this shitty docu! There is need to discuss how to promote the island outside the clubbing season.

For instance: why is everybody having holiday in august, even the local drug busters from the customs boat 8O . Let the European Parliament find out to spread European countries summer holidays. That would be a great start I suggest! French in May, Italians in October...

i thought it made the police look stupid. u had to laugh when the internet connection went down "only in ibiza" and you had to laugh about the boat police never catching anyone, and all going on holiday during the busiest time of the season.

and the guy that get lets out from prison for weekend.

other than that i think we all know what happens out there.

oh and blocko and alex p caught dealing

The program did bring to light just how poor/inefective the police and customs/boat patrol were at delaing with drugs.

Their strategy is obviously not working.

How many Guardia outside Bora taking 2 or 3 pills and a few grams of coke of some luckless people while the filmmakers went straight in and had no trouble buying a whole load of pills  What a waste of resources of the real dealers.

Also the undercover and that in San an - again all they had to show was a few pills and some hash at the end of the night, confiscated off some more luckless folks.

The big dealing seemed to go untackled, at least at street level and the cctv was a joke. The picture quality was awful, that quality of picture would not even be allowed as evidence in a UK court - it was shit, and that was without and zooming or closeups...if they did try to do that you could see the pixelation would be awful! And then it didnt even work half the time

we had several news items in our main section about the cctv. yes, it had teething problems when introduced ( just as they filmed) and now these have been sorted. we also published an aticle about the success of the system - it hasn't cured crime but it has pushed it to the outer limits of town where it is easier to control.

the customs situation was a sad state of affairs but i know for a fact that many people have been caught importing drugs by boat ( the ferries and private yachts)by the guardia civil.

in all we spent an hour in three places - amnesia, space and the amsterdam - not a big percentage of the island. in all we spent an hour looking at 20 something clubbers - not a big percentage on the island. so a bit of a distorted view of things but i suppose when you're making a documentary about drugs you've got to show lots of drugs.

the limit was the shady character saying that the authorities turn a blind eye to drugs because without them there'd be no clubbing scene and therefore no tourists. hotel owners and restaurants would go broke. this is complete bollocks - the sector of the economy suffering most in ibiza is the restaurant sector because young people on drugs don't eat, and if the hotels are reliant on young people so much why are there only TWO on the island that cater specifically for clubbers?

selective journalism which showed some facts but not all and which will not increase the popularity of the island one iota

I met Brandon Block that night of Alep P's party at the kebab joint in the West End.

"20 Euros mate and wacth there's cameras"

He was cutting about in the background at the bar when the deal was going down

I was shocked (actually know I wasnt!) at the interview with the Space owner - basically he condones drug use in his club - he thinks were old enough and wise enough to know the pitfalls of drugtaking - ok an adult view on the situation but these clubs we all go to know the pitfalls of drug taking in a hot climate, dancing your ass off (especially Space and Bora through the day in blazing sunshine) yet none of them help the situation by charging astronomical prices for water. EVERYBODY knows that you need to drink water regularly to keep hydrated and to stop the overheating process, you cant even take a beach bag to Bora Bora with water, we saw too girls getting bollocked at Bora Bora this summer - they were basically on the beach and had towels and a 1lt bottle of water in their bags - confiscated the water from them - its madness. Its not right from the clubs point of view (Health and Safety for one), there should be paramedic stalls at all of these clubs offering free water, crushed ice whatever. The authorities are never going to stamp out drug taking, its too widespread to control - come on guys at least do something to give your punters a fighting chance - end of rant!!!

Still its nice to know the authorites can do nowt if you are in your property/hotel room taking shed loads of drugs - they cant touch you.
