drink prices 2025

it was a nice evening😉 even though the moscow Mule cost 17 euros and wasn't all good. but good observations 🍿😂
last night I met up with a dear forum member (and family). for the first time this season I was on the main road in playa d'en bossa and we had a few drinks in one of the bars. the people watching was really funny, the service was lousy though. but anyway, a regular caña (draft beer) cost 7€ there. I live less than a mile away from that bar and if I go to any of my local bars, the same caña costs usually 2.50€...but of course you don't have the same quality of people watching hahaha!

at that price, forget the people watching and replace with caña watching

528 drinks prices were more expensive yesterday for Brunch Electronik compared with Pikes Presents… a few days beforehand. Beer 9 EUR rather than 4 EUR. Seemed a smaller cup too.

Thankfully given the heat, water was still 4 EUR.

Definitely smaller than at Pikes Presents… Small plastic cups (Brunch Electronik branded) which felt smaller than a 330ml bottle. Possibly 250ml?
330ml i think ( if it the same as last year )

How was the party Clara ? Good ?

Un abrazo

Yeah I don't get the tip for water thing. Or anything that isn't table service.

Guess Guetta getting all the money (wonder if they pay him in crates of water 😂)

Even here in Hull I'm seeing 'would you like to leave a tip' coming onto card payment screens. It's like I've walked to the bar, you've poured a drink out, what exceptional service has occured here??

Following Americas lead on rinsing customers out of even more cash sadly.

Maybe we should offer a round of applause 😂

The thing I want to know with tips, is it going to the actual staff or not etc

given how keen they are to prompt you here, I would assume so. However, I'm not convinced that is the case everywhere. Tips are supposed to be a transaction between you and the individual, so it is a bit murky the business getting involved. That said, how do you circumvent it in the digital era?

There was a discussion about this on the man in San An podcast last week, places are pushing a 10% tip on the bill discretely! I tip if I’ve had good food and service and that’s all.

I’m not a fan of this, getting very Americanised. They make enough on the drinks etc to pay their staff handsomely!
