Driftwood, Ibiza's only trance and progressive boat party, launched in early August 2011, and was the brain child of DJ and Promoters Sam Mitcham and Alex Ryan. Despite claims from various island veteran promoters that a trance boat party would never work, all 5 parties were a total sell out with the closing having to turn away over 80 people at the harbour. With heavyweight names such as Aly & Fila, John O'Callaghan, Sied Van Riel, Solarstone and Blake Jarrell headlining parties last year, its no surprise that Driftwood is the hottest, freshest and most talked about underground party in the world of trance & progressive music.

Driftwood is returning to the white isle for 2012 with 14 weekly parties every Monday sunset before A State Of Trance at Privilege, with the official opening taking place on Monday 25th June until Sept 24th. As if that wasn't enough, Driftwood also have 3 other special parties planned which are be announced soon.

Would be all over this ... but we don't land till 7.30pm on Monday. This whole arriving on a Monday thing is looking more and more like a pain in the arse. Getting 14/15 people moved into the villa, fed, showered and out to Armin is going to be challenge enough.

Really fancy a trance-based boat party. Raving during the sunset on the Group Therapy Boat Party felt like what Ibiza is all about.
 
Went on one of these last year. Quality parties ran by decent lads.

Sam Mitcham played a blinding closing set for Air on Sunday...finishing with Carte Blanche 8)

So after a very chilly and drawn out winter we are finally back on that magical white isle called Ibiza!

With the main season vastly approaching we decided to throw a special pre-season warm up party to help us all get in the swing of things... Ok we didn't really need help with that but it was just a great excuse to throw a party with our friends at Cluboverload and Escape Gets Filthy before our 'official' opening party on the 25th June.

This time we have Driftwood's first ever female dj headliner by the name of none other than AMBER D! Amber in our eyes is the most under-rated female dj out there. Although predominantly a name in hard dance, Amber literally lives, eats, breaths and sleeps music, playing a massive 12 genres at a professional level! Whether its Djing to massive crowds at festivals around the world, producing her own music in the studio or jamming out some blues on her keyboard in front of an audience on chat-roulette at house parties, her passion for all things musical is ever present. Amber will take to the Driftwood decks on June 11th with a special 'Alternative Amber' set. Trust us when we say this, you will not be disappointed!

Supporting Amber and flying the flag for Cluboverload.com is the ever growing, popular northern talent ASH PRESTON. Ash again has made a name for himself in hard dance over the years but has recently expanded his sound into a trance direction, which he will be showcasing at Driftwood. Signed to Curious Management, this is a guy with a bright future ahead of him.

If that wasn't enough we have Escape resident and technical whizz kid SAM JONES to complete our special guests for the party.

Warm up duties will be held by both resident's SAM MITCHAM and ALEX RYAN with a special back to back set.


The Driftwood vessel will leave San Antonio Harbour at 5.30pm sharp, returning after a beautiful sunset at 9:30pm.

Pre party is at ITACA Bar between 3pm and 5pm [Next to Ibiza Rocks Bar]. ALL GUESTS MUST MEET AT THE PRE PARTY BEFORE 5PM OR ELSE RISK BEING REFUSED ENTRY TO THE BOAT WITHOUT REFUND. Please do not be late! :-)

After an incredible first season of 5 sell out events and a sell out pre-season warm up event, Driftwood returns weekly to Ibiza with 14 impressive sunset parties each Monday before the new and highly anticipated A State of Trance at Privilege!

The long awaited opening party is finally upon us and to celebrate this we have none other than the U.K trance legend and grammy-award nominated ANDY MOOR. Andy has been highly ranked in the DJ Mag Top 100 for the past 6 years and is considered to be one of the best and most respected U.K trance artists.
Joining him for this stellar event is Danish dj and producer DANIEL KANDI. Daniel is an artist who has had a string of releases on some of the world's finest trance record labels including Armada, Anjunabeats and Enhanced Recordings to name a few.
Support will come from Godkitchen's very own SAM MITCHAM, Driftwood resident ALEX RYAN.

Tis why I'm intending to go! Just wanted to know what discount I'd get, as both ASOT and this is going to be an expensive day!
 
Can anyone confirm if driftwood gets you a discounted entry for ASOT? Just want to know if I should buy both tickets ahead of time or wait on the privilege ticket till I get there for a discount...
 
Just noticed the latest poster also says Free entry into Colors on Tuesday. If this carries on all season it's a bargain.
 
If you buy the €45 entry ticket, you get free entry in to Monday's Calling @ Space AND Colors @ Es Paradis. It knocked €10 off our ASOT ticket (We paid €30 for the ASOT opening)
 
Depends on the DJ.
Andy Moor and Sean Tyas both played stomping sets, proper bangers. Daniel Kandi played a much more uplifting track.
