im there from july 3rd/4th fly at 11pm, for 1 week!!! am taking £800 will that be enough?? (also staying all inclusive accom)!! not "aving it" every night, prob doing we love sundays, dc10 (depends on state), subliminal & pure pacha!! with

also whats the best thing to do these days, this is my first experience with the "euro" am i best taking cash (not a good idea with my track record), euro chqs or sterling chqs???

Im going for two weeks and only taking £800 but im only doing 4/5 clubs so im hoping i'll be okay.

Ive done it on £400 for a week before and done about the same amount of clubs so im hoping i'll be fine.

At the end of the day if your on a budget you learn to live with it.

Is that £800 just for you??

£800 will be more than enough. When we go for a week we take £1000-1200 for both of us, we go out clubbing virtually every night and I drink LOTS 8O

Errrr re what to take I leave that up to my Keeper cos I'm not allowed to deal with money :? I think he normally changes cash and then cashcards for back-up.
 
yeah just for me!!
did it on £600 for 2 weeks last time, and as rightly pointed out, if ur on a budget u tend to build ur hoilday round it, but this time i wanna bling it!!!

That will easy be enough then, we never scrimp on holiday, always get taxis, when we do eat we eat in nice places, I drink lots, lots of clubs etc and we've never spent that much in a week.
 
jj....800 quid is perfect, thats exactly what i'm taking......thats over a hundred squid a day.....

you're in ibiza when i'm there...see you in DC10's!!!

We are exactly the same, i can not be left with the money!!!
When we are saving he takes it right out my wages and puts it in the ISA and when we go out its in his wallet!!! Me/money/responsibility/trying not to loose stuff do not mix!!! :oops: :lol:
 
i went for two weeks! I was out every night for the whole two weeks but only managed to get to 2/3 big nights......eden closing isnt big so just say 2 ;)

I went to the cream closing party and the ministry closing party at pacha

Lived on chicken baguettes and fruit juice.

spent £900

last year went with £150 and got paid £200 day i left - 3 days later on phone to mates and familiy beggin for more money. got another £200 offf y mum . spend it in 3 days. borrowed £100 of mate - made it last til end of holiday :? :? 2 weeks - dont know how.

Promised i would not let the same thing happen this year - total savings so far £0

leave in 2 weeks - hoping to get about £600 ... going to miss a few nights :(
 
I am going in 2weeks for 2 weeks and so far have only just over £500 saved. :(
I am hoping to get more money off my famile though, and as said heer before, peple find that when they go on holiday as a couple it doesnt cost as much... I hope thid is true hehehe, cos I'm going with ym boyfriend.
I was wondering though, how much cash should I bring and how much changed into travellers cheques?

i usually take traveller cheques but tbh i havent got a f***ing clue what they charge to change them, i just get passed a load of money that has no real value to me.

american express cheques can be changed commision free at over 5000 banks across the world, luckily there are 2 in ibiza, one in ibiza town, you can find them out easily on http://www.americanexpress.co.uk

this year, after reading advice one here, i think i will probably just use my banks debit card. you pay the foregin bank a fee, usually about £1.50-£2 apparently and then whatever charge is required by your bank (be careful thos cos this can be expensive depending on your bank),these vary greatly, usually a %age with a minimum or maximum value e.q

nationwide = 0 charge
cost = £0

barclays = 4.75%
cost = £4.75

halifax = 2.25% + £1.50
cost = £3.75

natwest = 4.5% / maximum £4
cost £4

withdrawing £500

nationwide = 0

cost = £23.75

halifax = 2.25% + £1.50
cost= £12.75

natwest = 4.5% maximum £4

me and my gf have just opened nationwide accounts especially, so far between us we have saved £2k, still 8 weeks till we go, looking to take ~3k
