PachaGirl, I NEVER cry on the cinema but BigFish broke me in pieces and I spent the whole film crying. 8O
Tim Burton rules :D ;)

Sil, he has this magical way of making emotional movies without any hint of cheese. Big Fish pulled a lot of heart strings with me, being a daddy's girl and all... ;)

And what about Edward Scissorhands... my heart was writhing the whole time.

My dad died 10 years ago and I never had any problem watching films of this kind, but Burton, as you said, pulled the heart strings ;) I cried so mucht that my boyfriend was quite worried 8O

I love all his films, Mars Attack, NIghtmare before Christams, Ed Wood and all of them.
I also love his draws, last easter in New YOrk I bought this little plastic man and he keeps me entertained in the office when nobodody wants to play with me ;)

Nightmare before Xmas is ace. :D

Acutally girsl, don't you think the best thing about Burton is having Jonny Deep on most of his films? ;)

Hell yes... Depp is just amazing and SO talented

Okay YES...Tim Burton is just a genius that he recognizes Depp's gorgeousness. It is truly unnerving...his looks I mean...

Sorry, I didn't meant to imply you only liked it cuz it made you cry but we were talking weepy movies...Although it is sad when Jack gets disappointed that no one likes him as Santi Claus. ;)

Have you guys seen Charlie yet? I am aching to see that. I did watch Pirates some night and I swear who knew someone who was made to look soo dirty and dingy could look so sexy? AND he does that accent so well! The very end where he says a little line from the Disneyland ride I don't know why but I just think it proves what a talent he is. LOVE HIM

Morbyd, I am so bad I already HAD a beer this morning! It is only 9 AM over here is sweltering Los Angeles...
Well done!

I made it through the workday (got out at 8pm), dropped by the supermarket, made a lasagna and got it in the oven in times for EastEnders at 9:30, and I'm eating now (I know...11:15...very bad!) while watching Sex in the City in Russian.

What a day

ps. Tim Burton rules. Beetlejuice?! Batman!? Nightmare, Ed Scissorhands, all great films. And his devotion to the great Danny Elfman is icing on the cake. Only Planet of the Apes was average.

The lasagna turned out great! I'm still eating it! (very very bad!!)

Yes, I've seen the last series. I even have it on DVD. You find out that Mr. Big's name is John :D
(in Russian, they call him "man of my dreams" instead of Mr. Big :? )

I have been obsessed with that show since it started. Even though it ended last year ANYTIME I have a bad feeling about a boy or my previous relationship with evil incarnate ( ). I put on my DVDs, become a hermit, and watch every episode (while drinking of COURSE!)

Morbyd I know in translating certain nuance is lost but "man of my dreams"? Why does it translate like that just out of linguistic curiousity.

I think because Mr. Big would just sound kind of funny in Russian. "Muschina moe mechty" sounds nice and alliterative.
