This is my humble opinion, I think when people are willing to pay 50 to 80 quid to get in a club, 15 to 20 for a drink, 1000 for a table, you must give the powers that be the opinion you and the collective "we" have more money than sense, and they will capitalize accordingly, to a degree you have brought this on yourselves. Spain used to be a place for a cheap holiday, but with the masses coming over with money to burn and all the vip nonsense its hardly surprising they are putting a squeeze on you for even more of your hard earned?? cash.

on a positive note, if you rule out the clubs, you can get the pdb experience in benidorm and see sticky vicky for a lot less dosh.

The collaboration of the two groups will lead to Europe's first Hard Rock Hotel complex, scheduled to open in May 2014, which converts two properties from the Spanish hotel group's Fiesta Hotels & Resorts brand, Fiesta Club Don Toni and Fiesta Hotel Don Toni. The theme of the new hotel will evoke the undisputed legendary philosophy inspired by the music style that characterises all Hard Rock establishments.

The new Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will comprise of two buildings joined by a completely remodelled lobby and a multifunctional space that will include a variety of dining, shopping and entertainment options. Staying true to its musical heritage, the hotel will also feature live music performances by internationally renowned groups, complementing the Ibiza scene, a place of pilgrimage for international artists.

I need to tell you some news about your stay at the Fiesta Don Toni Resort in Ibiza.



Our team in Ibiza have been in touch to inform us that the hotelier has decided to upgrade the rooms, within the hotel side of the resort, by combining two rooms into one, making them more spacious. Work will start on 1st September and will be completed for when the hotel re-opens on 1st May 2014.



The hotel side of the resort will be closed whilst the renovations take place. The work to the hotel section will mainly be internal, with some work taking place to remove the dividing balcony walls. Due to the location of the hotel in relation to the club section, some noise may be heard at times from the public areas. Facilities within the hotel section that will also be closed as of 1st September include the buffet restaurant, swimming pool, bar and snack bar however the Club side of the resort has all the same facilities, so you won't lose any of these services.



The hotel management have assured us that all necessary measures have been taken to minimise any possible disruption and will ensure that their normal high standards will be maintained. They have confirmed that all our customers will be allocated rooms away from the work, wherever possible.



The Fiesta Don Toni Resort is a fantastic place to stay. With its own Splash Park, which is rated a massive 8 on the splash-o-meter; a full entertainment programme and three First Choice Kids' Clubs for children aged 3 to 11 years – you'll never be stuck for things to do.

so the HOTEL don toni closes for good @ the end of august,
but when does the CLUB don toni close ???
 
per norm the club side closes around 2nd week in oct.and anyone booked later than that stays in the palm beach.
 
according to today's UH, next year it will host a series of concerts for 2000/2500 people plus four bigger ones at ushuaïa in collaboration with the franchise! :cool:

Hmm.... going head-to-head with Ibiza Rocks then.
I'm actually OK with that as long as they bring some good shows!
 
I don't think its head to head with Ibiza Rocks at all. I think it's almost a family type place too. I have no idea how this will work. I drove past the don Toni low rise today and a construction fence is all round the front so looks like it's all go.

they've started on it, but it's too early to actually see anything. it's similar to last winter when they refurbished what now is ushuaïa tower, you only really started to see things a month or two before they opened.
