they simply went bust. i cant remember when exactly, but it was over a year ago.said they couldnt compete with labels own stores that were appearing in the city. The original owner Robert Wade-Smith said at the time he was going to begin trading again in the city, but then changed his mind.
 
they probably gave too much five finger discount!

it was o'connor's tavern opposite kirklands. i still can't remember the name of the palce with fake palm trees though

yeah, the reason i was up there was to do a couple of saturdays in the new reiss store, and wades was across the way, then all saints opened too shortly after.

Cant believe Wade Smith went bust, the family always had this giant mansion in caldy that was worth more than most clothes shops alone ...how the mighty fall hey,although selling prada suits on matthew st was possibly a tad ambitious?

I went to WGS, have a mate who has just bought on briardale rd, which is there or there abouts. I'm from near st andrews church! Was in the kings just the other day for xmas pints.
