Does anyone have any old pictures of Ibiza

Went to a photographic exhibition at the Virreina on the ramblas earlier and was a bit surprised to come across some of those Tony Keelers. Fantastic hippy shots from late 70s. Might have to get the book

Ibiza in 1937. Found these on ebay.

A funeral procession for the victims of the aerial bomb attack on the German battleship 'Deutschland' which was anchored off Ibiza and targeted by accident. 31 German sailors were killed and 74 wounded.

Here is the funeral march that is often played at German funeral processions. Composed in 1809. It really makes the photos above come to life.

You sure this is in Ibiza? Can't place where it is.

Your right. I searched google earth to find out where the photos were taken. The aerial attack happened when the ship was anchored off Ibiza, but I did some more research and it appears the damaged ship made its way to Gibraltar and the British army and navy helped in the burial ceremony in Gibraltar, so that must be where the photos were taken. Just goes to show that ebay listings aren't always accurate.

Well spotted.
