So... whats your view? Have you had any sightings/experiences that made you believe? Or do you think its all just a bunch of fantasy hogwash?

no. I don't. but I get scared easily when watching spooky movies nd have nightmares about them for months after... 8O

I didn't until my mums best friend who died a long time ago spoke to me 8O

I've told this before but here we go .........

I was at work one summers day when everyone was out except me. I was sat at my desk and i heard a voice wispering me "Andrew, Andrew, Andrew!" gradually getting louder, but still wispering.

I went cold immediately as i recognised the voice straight away (she always had a soft spot for me when i was a kid and used to spend a lot of time at her house).

Anyhow, i stood up and went over. I wasn't scared at all, it just felt right to go straight over.

I got to the doorway and i felt a cold rush of air go through me, despite it being a very warm summers day :?

All of a sudden the voice said "Andrew ...... look after your mum" and before i had time to speak i knew she had gone.

I immediately rushed outside and there was no-one to be seen.

People take the piss when i tell them but as sure as i'm sat here telling you this, it really did happen!

I will never forget that experience.

Whoa Drew... every folicle on the back of my neck is on end... 8O Especially since I sorta had in my head that you would be a skeptic to the spirit world lol... You seem like a more "logical" kind of guy to me.

I, for one, am I believer. However, I also believe that the mind is more powerful than we could ever fathom... and therefore it is capable of creating such elaborate visions, sounds, feelings etc. that don't exist in reality.

I have several stories, but I gotta tell them later as I am at work lol. Here's one to start:

I was 13 years old, and my grandmother on my dad's side had been passed away since I was about 6. One night I had a dream. The dream was total blackness, I couldn't see or touch anything. All the sudden I felt so sad in the dream... I started crying and whimpering uncontrollably.

Then I heard a soft voice in the distance. It got closer and closer, till finally it sounded like it was near my ear. It was my grandmother's soothing voice, clear as a bell... clear as if she were standing right next to me, but there was a little echo. She was consoling me, and saying "Sara, please don't cry sweetie, please don't cry, its all going to be alright," etc. over and over. Then the voice trailed off just as it had arrived. End of "dream."

I opened my eyes, and felt a little disoriented... but relaxed at the same time. I turned my head, to feel that the pillow and my face were sopping with tears. I started to get out of bed to get a kleenex, and couldn't move... I felt tied to the bed. Strangely I wasn't alarmed by this lol.

Then I looked over the edge of my bed. My covers had been folded back under my chin, pulled neatly across my body, and tucked tightly under the mattress...

... Just like grandma used to do for me when I was little.

"Don't want you to go fallin' out of the bed in the middle of the night!" she used to say.

I walked in to my parent's bedroom in the middle of the night to ask them if they had tucked me in... no way did I want to believe it could have been grandma lol. My father goes, "Why would we tuck you in? We haven't done that since you were little."

Needless to say I slept in my parent's room, on the floor next to the dog, for a few days afterwards. 8O 8O 8O

that's totally freaky.

Nothing's happened to me and I usually am fairly skeptical of things but things have happened to my mother and sister which are quite weird - my mother saw our cat reflected in the window whilst she was washing up, but it had died a couple of weeks earlier and we didn't own any other cats at the time...

Slightly scarier is when just after my great granmother died my mother hadn't told any of us as we were very young. One day she went outside and my older sister was sitting in the garden on a swing talking to someone, and my mother asked who it was, and my sister said 'great granny, she was just here' and my mother had to explain that she died a few days before...

so yeah, maybe I believe, but then again, I'm skeptical!

One thing that pisses me off is my dad absolutely REFUSES to believe my episode. Even after seeing my snow white face, gigantic eyes and shaking hands that night lol. He is the biggest skeptic I know lol.

Definitely a believer, especially after living in England for 5 yrs.

Personal experience: I was 13 and just got home from football. My brothers were glued to the TV and my mom was in the kitchen cooking dinner and dad was at work. I went down the hall to my parents bathrooma nd started the shower, walked back down the hallway and stood in the entrance yelling to my mom that Id be in the shower.

Where Im standing is the ONLY way to the back area where the shower is, my bros were still at the TV and mom was in the kitchen.

I walk back to the shower and its off...i was puzzled because it was like the water stopped running, the faucet had been turned off. So i turned it back on and took a shower. When i finished i walked over to the other bathroom to comb my hair. As I was brushing my hair i felt something lightly touching my forearm at the wrist and moving towards my elbow. I looked at my arm and watched my hair start to standup as whatever was touching me was making its way to my elbow. I slowly put the comb down and ran like hell to the front freaking out. LOL

The air wasnt on or anything cause i checked and from then on i was constantly freaked out.

Another weird experience. Several yrs ago i was working and my mom had called me telling me my grandma (her mom) had died in her sleep. It was unexpected and my mom was extremely upset. I got home and consoled my mom as best i could w/o getting upset myself. I asked when she found out and she said it was really weird. It was early in the morning, there had been no breeze whatsoever. She was having coffee and all of a sudden she got a bad feeling, the wind chims her mom had given her started making all kinds of noise from outside. She opened the door to see if a storm was coming but it was sunny as hell, no breeze yet the chims were going crazy. She shut the door and then the phone rang and it was her sister telling her the bad news.

Thats my 2 cents 8O

Our mind is our reality. "I think therefore I am!" Completely believe in ghosts and all things paranormal. The fact that our brains use a fraction of their capacity, makes me think there is so much more out there than we aren't conscious of. Aura, telekinesis etc.

Only had one ghost experience. Was about 13 and was out on an old country road with my mates playing hide and seek. (They lived near a farm and we were walking back to it) We all ran off in different directions. I was sure I seen one of my frirends pop into the bushes at the side of the road, so I went in to get him. As I was going further into the bushes I was sure I could see someone crouching in there. Suddenly I heard my two mates shouting at me up ahead to hurry up. Obviously it wasn't any of my friends in the bushes. As the reality of this struck, I jumped out of the bushes in shock. Couple of seconds later I got a grip of myself and went back into look but could see no-one whatsoever.

I told my mates and one of them say a kid died in a hit and run about 3 years ago. (I think they were taking the mick) Either way, I swear there was someone in those bushes that suddenly vanished.
