Warp Records? Are they quite a big label? Just had an interview with them so I want to find out a bit more about them :D
 
They were the label responsible for LFO's "LFO" back in the day. Used to be based in Sheffield (I think). Where about's is the job based? Have they moved office?

Yay they were a big northern label early 90s.

They're based in Gospel Oak now. The office was just what Im after, relaxed, cool, funky people etc. I'm hoping I get called back for a second interview! Gospel Oak isnt too far to get to (I would prefer somewhere more central though :? ). Plus the job is just right for me too, it fills exactly what I want in my next role :D

I'm also through to the last stages of another job for a PR company in Tott Crt Rd... whilst I do like this job, it's much more formal than Warp, and I'm not 100% sure that I'll fit in with the people. The location is really good though, plus they'll support me fully in my studies, they've got great holiday and benefits etc.

I'm not sure what I'd do if they offered me the job :?

Arrrghhh why can't the perfect job ever be out there :(

That's correct.

Not sure what they are called now?
 
They said no anyway :( I wasn't experienced enough apparantly, they want someone who's more senior.

Never mind... I'm still waiting to hear about the PR job. It looks promising though because they've just rang my old job for a reference 8O

At least you've got loads of things in the pipeline tho :D

I dont know what to do about this other job though. I dont want to make the same mistake as the last permanent job I had!! It does have some good points though, but I'm just not 100% sure that I'd fit in there. I spose you'll never know unless you try though :?

No both jobs are in Accounts, the job is in a PR company though.

I wouldn't take a permanent job unless I was 100% sure of it. I've just e-mailed you btw.
 
damn shame, warp records are absolute quality. They also run warp films which showcases short films from directors such as chris cunningham (famed for music vids for aphex twin, bjork etc) and Chris morris (day today, brasseye, blue jam etc). Warp have a massive fan base and thus can afford to put out records which arent your usual sound to say the least.

I know Im a bit gutted to be honest, what makes it worse is that I know I could have done the job standing on my head. But once they've made their decision what can you do :(
