Cos I remember him playing the last hr , after his first song a friend of mine quite rightly started telling him how important the closing set of the terrace was, and he'd best feck off and play his shit on radio 2,
He turned the Mike off and played in his headphones for the last hr .

correct, but not because of confusion, but rather because simply people did not accept and adapt to the new name. pikes will always be pikes

standouts:

Eighth Wonder is a massive guilty pleasure from my yoot - FUN FACT > the pet shop boys wrote that.

Gatto Fritto makes brilliant records - I used to see him around when I lived in London (Ben Williams - last heard of in Berlin?) - that track stole the show for me at pikes - chuggy, druggy, huggy - all the right ingredients

Elkin & Nelson - what can I say? there's a lot more to them than Jibaro. Some of that music is nearly 50 years old!

Chris Coco & Rune Lindbaek - another personal fave - I stuck it on a mix at the weekend - it's in the WAYLTRN thread

Locussolus - I was all over this when it originally came out. Harvey produced it himself. Disco with a very modern twist. great stuff
 
Couple of tracks on the CD that don't massively float the boat but on the whole its a good 8 on 10

Will he stay or will he go..? Planning a trip with mate my mate Colin who came with me for 4 weeks in 1991 and he hasn't been back since:eek: he even has a cousin married and living there 15yrs breeding pigs who has a little bar/juice place and somewhere to stay free..so me him and ibiza two virgins and music lovers want to come but don't want any shit music or big nights.. im thinking Harvey if he does another year..best thing is Harvey stays with Colin's older brother when he's in Miami so we'll try get info in march when he's there next..:cool:

Ibiza 2 virgins ha ha..well.they have never been and want go this year as their both hitting 45 ,married and kids.could have came with the party.in may,but when they saw what heads were going the made right decision waiting a year...:lol:
