dining and drinking in Richmond...

...Where to go, people?? have friend over from belgium tomorrow night and I wanna take him out and show him Richmond. if its pissing down like it is today i dont want to go into town, so we' re sticking to Richmond area.
would like:
Something fancy but not stuck up, not too many suits but nicee mixed crowd maybe a little house' ish music going on in the background, place with nice bar would be fab!
all suggestions welcomed!
 
There's a nice place on the river called canyon. Not sure about bars as we always pub it when we go out in Richmond. There is a bar near Gourmet burger though, not sure on the name.

sandi yes i read about it there, wonder what its like...hmmm might be worth checking out. might try clapham as well.
 
There's a bar across the road from the tube station which plays middle of the road funky house house and has got a late licence (also is Henrys still there on the river??) but I normally pub it like Sandi says in Richmond, there's too many nice pubs to bother with bars imo.

For eating you're spoilt for choice in Richmond, we often eat at Prego's on Kew Road, that's really nice.
 
hmmm ok nice, well not much of a nightlife in richmond then ... but better than nothing. just got back to denmark a few days ago, since i had a drastic family emergency. so i never got to go out this weekend after all .- but MAN u get used to the buzz and life in london. im thinking: how the hell could i ever live in this speelp suburbia lol:x :lol: :spank:
