Hehe
I don't know how to explain it![]()
Optical zoom uses the lense to make things look bigger (very handy for portraits or if you can't get close to what you want to take a photo of).
Digital zoom doesn't use lenses, it just 'zooms in' on the image to make it look bigger. This means the bigger picture looks blurry and cr@p..
I don't think I explained it any better![]()

I like the look of that one lots - is it really little![]()
Check out the Casio Exilim, my mate has one and it's super small, takes lovely pics and the build quality is fantastic.

My friend is very into his photography and when asked for his advice when i got my new camera he said that for the purposes that I was looking for i.e. not for professional work - anything over 6 megapixels is a waste of time.
You should be able to pick up a decent compact camera for around £150 that will suffice for general snaps such as holidays etc and will still look good on a pc and printed too
Hola
For cheaper cams I suggest these

Other option would be the Canon Ixus 60 and you can use the memory cards of the old one

The second one is similar to my one that has just broke and I did really like that camera but I want one of those skinny ones with a big screen like your one was - how much was yours??
Mine it's not anymore in the shops, but the first option is a new version a bit cheaper now with a massive screen, great video options and all that.
You'll need a memory card tho

Yes, it's very easy to use, and if it's not that easy I'll give you some lessons in a month and a week (eeeeeek)![]()
